Great staff. Great food. We were in the area for 3 days on a job site. We got tired of fast food. We found Nix and thought let's give it a shot. We came during the lunch rush. The establishment was full, but they had no problem keeping up. Not only that, but they kept our drinks topped up. The food was pretty good as well. When we are back in town, this will be one of my stops for sure.
Hometown little diner with good food and even better prices. Nix has been at this location for many years. It had been many years since I ate there so I went in for breakfast. The menu is what you would expect from a real deal little diner and it's awesome. Breakfast is great. The service is sincere diner service, no flash, just great service. The lunch specials look good and I will be going back. Sometimes you want fancy, sometimes good food and good feel is what you want.
One of the best Eggs Benedict I had around Hamptom Roads a few weeks back and cost friendly. I've been itching to come back! The hollandaise sayce was delicious. Now I didn't gave 5 stars because I've only been there once. The service was great, and waitress were awesome, always making sure you're good and also making sure you don't ran out of coffee. Great service.
This restaurant is RACIST!! After my family and I dined here today, racial obscenities were yelled at us regarding "how" we parked. I called the restaurant to ask for assistance in reporting them, because they were in the restaurant with us, but Nix was of no assistance. They do not have CCTV in their parking lot and did nothing to comfort a family who had just dined in their establishment! ZER0 STARS
Omg since first moving to portsmouth I've been dying to try this place and it was great remind me of Angelo's in Newport News. All the staff was excellent, the food was phenomenal, and they even gave a small piece of velvet cake to everyone for Valentine day which was a nice surprise. All the food we received with generous portions for the price is very unbeatable. I will definitely be a returning customer. Great job nix

Today, we decided to check Nix out, and it was GREAT! I would highly recommend checking this restaurant out. The waitresses are awesome, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food was delicious! Think we have found a new breakfast spot!
20/10 stars cannot say enough great things about the food and the service! I didn’t catch our servers name, but you’re the girl with the Halloween decorations on your tree still! We’re visiting from Arizona and we want to eat here every day until we leave it was that good! If you’re not sure about it, definitely check this place out! Great prices and even better food. All the servers were great to us, helping our refilling drinks etc. Amazing place!
My favorite Saturday morning breakfast is the Smithfield Omelette with cubed hash browns and a biscuit. The food is so good that they are super busy every time that I walk through their doors. God bless the cooks and the waitstaff, they are overwhelmed at times but they are kind to everyone.
