All of the food was delicious!! Our server Tina was soo attentive, excellent service:) we are visiting from New York and come to Virginia every year. This is a place we will definitely be returning to great prices, amazing service, great food and excellent atmosphere! I am upset we didn’t find this place sooner.
This was my first time at this establishment. I forgot to take a picture of my food. ? I ordered the Shrimp & Grits. It was ok... no complaints. The atmosphere was really nice, but the music was a lil loud. Our waitress was very accommodating and courtesy. I'll definitely be going back and trying some of the other dishes... maybe they'll get an extra star. ???♀️
Came here on a recommendation to have a birthday brunch with my mom. First time and food was delish and filling. Tina and her trainee were great.
I give my disabled POV. I called ahead because I have a mobility scooter and an Emotional Support Dog. I talked with Tina who confirmed that the patio had an entrance that accommodated scooters and my ESA dog was allowed as long as she had her vest. She did recommend going early as it is very popular. You could have heard a pin drop when we arrived, but when she lay down on her rug, I'm not sure if it was me or her. ? The breakfast and service was very good. ☕️? ?Tina was correct about going early. It was 85° and a long line out the door when we left.
Not only has this place never had good service, but they let the women get harassed and threatened without any repercussions.
Great Food and Great Staff! Our server Tina met us with a smile, was very attentive from seating to leaving! Tina made us smile the whole time we were enjoying our very tasty lunch! Thank you Tina and thank you Metro Diner!
There's good and bad. The food was pretty good. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken had a good flavor and there was LOTS of it. The waffles were kind of mushy. Not like the crispy waffles you can even get from Denny's. The strawberry butter and the syrup was good though.Now the bad. I've ordered curbside service from this Metro twice now. DO NOT do it. Both times, after checking in multiple times, I had to go in and get it. They weren't particularly busy either time. This last time I waited for 20 minutes. This is an eat-in establishment only. The first time I let slide, but two times in a row with the same behavior is just plain old bad customer service.If you go in, maybe the food is better. I'm pretty sure I will never find out.
I went to Metro Diner for the first time and got the fried chicken and waffles. It was amazing. The service was the best I have had in a LONG time. The owner even came over to greet us and introduce himself. He made sure the service we were receiving was exceptional. The waitress always made sure our drinks were full and brought our food out immediately. It did not sit in a window and was fresh as could be. Not only that the food was cooked to perfection. Very clean place to eat. BEST IN TOWN!!!!
I liked this place so much I ate there twice. First time I had the San Francisco Eggs Benedict and the second time I had the Chicken Waffles, which oddly was my first time eating. The Eggs Benedict came with all the usual items plus sliced avocado which made it San Francisco style but the Chicken and Waffles was all that I could have imagined. The chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly and the waffles were light and crispy, served with strawberry butter. Loved this place, I’ll be back. Sorry I didn’t take many photos, I started eating before realizing I should’ve taken photos but you can’t go wrong with this place, the food and service (Shilah) was great.
Five stars all around! Service is excellent, and the food is awesome. Decent portion sizes at a very good price. The chicken eggs Benedict is where it's at........
