Food was good and reasonably priced. Got a HUGE platter of pulled pork that was really good, loved the cole slaw and cucumber onion salad. Beer flight was 5 bucks and they had a decent selection. Really enjoyed the grapefruit crush too. Service wasn't anything to write home about, but I would still eat there again.
Unfriendly atmosphere, the place is arctic cold, the food gets cols within 5 minutes. Bartender didn't make drinks right. Paud for drinks, cancelled order and left. Do bot recommend.
Wasn't a fan of Mack's the first time I came but I came back with a friend who loves the place a second time and still wasn't impressed. The bartenders weren't great and the air registers above the bar were DISGUSTINGLY dirty. I mentioned that to the bartender at the time and he acted like he didn't care because no one else did.Hopefully 3rd times the charm because the new bartender Brian, is great. He has a great personality and makes a good drink. The nachos were 100% times better than first time I came. Would actually come back again, and willingly.
Service was great, but every single one of us (5) that ate fish have been extremely sick for over 24 hours now. We all met here for lunch coming from different areas, I came from 5 hours away. Still currently sick. Manager promised to have owner call all of us and failed to follow through or even show sympathy for what their restaurant put us all through. This place doesn't care about their consumers ?BEWARE?
We just ate there monday. Everyone order except one ordered fish and chips. Everyone got sick except my dad who ordered a hamburger. When it came out it looked like a crab claw. Was nothing but batter and little bit of fish. It was so greasy. Omg. They need to hire new cooks too.

Finally got around to trying Mack’s. What a pleasant surprise. We started with she-crab soup with came out hot, with lots of crabmeat and seasoned to perfection. Wife had the American burger sans bun with sweet potato fries, excellent choice. I had the BBQ sampler with ribs, pulled pork and brisket, all smoked on site. This is some of the best que that I’ve had from Chesapeake to Smithfield. Worth the stop. Added benefit: our server Grace was very attentive.
If you want to break away from the chain restaurants this is a good choice. My date loved the she crab soup. The chicken on a brioche bun was good but the onion rings were a bit soggy. The cheesesteak and green beans were great. The prices are also low. The waitress was friendly and the food came quickly. I would eat here again.
Nicole and Brian are awesome haven't really sat anywhere but the bar but listening to the other servers everybody seems pretty cool good spot to check out if you want a good low-key place to have some drinks and food in the off season haven't been hear when all the vacationers come will see this year
Beer was cold. Coleslaw very good. Fries above average. Fish a little overdone but still good. Thomas the server was very polite and fast.
