The quality of food is starting to decline. I like the garlic seasame chicken. Before it used to be tasty, fresh green onion and good marinade. Most recent order was leftovers with no green onion at all. The marinade was almost like a jelly consistency. Mac salad was bland and looked like the macaroni was shredded. A’ole. Lau lau has been off the menu for a long time. Kalua pig and short rib was unavailable at most recent visit. We understand times are tough and they are having problems with staffing shortages, but the focus seems to be towards the first Saturday of the every month and not on what L&L should be. It would also be nice to know that the place was closed at 3pm on a Friday before driving an hour to get there. I should have called, silly me.

Great place to eat Hawaiian style food. Its awesome to be able to get Spam Mushubi and a taste of Hawaiian comfort foods. Prices are fair and service is quick and friendly staff. For a taste of Hawaii go to L&L

I've had L&L since I was young and first time having it on the east coast. By far the saddest I've ever seen this. The wait was long but that was to be expected for popularity but not for this. This was all the meat I got for a Mix BBQ plate and all thin pieces.

Good food and big portions. The only reason I didn't gave 5 stars, it because I have eaten the food from L&L Hawaii on Honolulu. And the macaroni salad here didn't have the same taste (it was bland). Everything else was good.

It was not worth the drive and money to spend on burnt food, poor quality and overpriced their food was. I grew up eating L&L in Hawaii, this is nothing compared to how it is served back home. I was excited about trying and when we got our plate lunches, we ate because we drove so far and we were so hungry. We order a bbq mix plate that was $14.95, in my opinion having one piece of kalbi meat, one piece of teriyaki meat and 2 pieces of chicken along with 2 scoop rice and mac salad that was smaller than a scoop is a total rip off. Then their kalua cabbage bowl, that didn't have cabbage and the por was not shredded that was served with steamed veggies (prefer mac salad), for $7.95 with one scoop of rice. We also ordered their bbq chickn mix plate, honeslty..I am not happy about their marinade. Not sure what marinade they used but that was not a hawaiian flavored marinade. I also order a chesseburger combo but instead got the cheeseburger deluxe, no fries. We ordered 2 fountain drinks and that totaled over $50. For the amount we spent, we would've been satisfied if the food quality met our expectations. We won't be returning that's for sure.

Super cool spot to get some awesome Hawaiian food that’s pretty hard to find in this area. Learned it was a chain afterward, although it doesn’t seem like a big chain - it’s just got all the best benefits with a well developed menu, very efficient, and high quality. Never had Hawaiian food before, and this was super great. So many options that I can’t wait to come back and try next time!

Great local spot for an amazing taste of the islands. Found this place by accident. My fiancee and I liked it. The food is made to order and they're generous with the portions. Chill and relax setting too.

I’ve eaten at these in Hawaii and this one is pretty much no different! To say our family was excited was beyond an understatement! I called to verify they were open and the guy who answered was super friendly and welcoming! Same guy who answered was working front counter and he was just the nicest! We will definitely be back! This place has everything we loved in Hawaii and super excited to eat Hawaiian style food in VA!!!

Friendly staff, one of whom took the time and care to verify potential allergen exposure. This place has Dole whip! The house made tea was just the right level of sweet for those who aren't looking for tea with their sugar. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding about whether we were dining in or carrying out so we were served in take out containers. I'll definitely be back for a round two to try again.

The chicken katsu meal was great, no complaints on the mac salad or rice. However, the bbq mix plate was a bit too salty. The chicken and rib were ok tasting with the beef being the least favorite, so much so that I don’t even want to finish eating it (and I hate throwing away food too).
