The food and service were superb! We went in around lunch time through the week. Victor was our waiter - very attentive! Initially our chips were cold but after mentioning to Victor he brought out a warm batch! The fresh guac is so die for! I could literally eat it all day! The portions were large as well. We both took half of our plate home - Hawaiian quesadilla and beef tamales. Oh and the sweet tea is actually Deep South, southern sweet tea! Got fried ice cream to go
Best Mexican I've had in a couple years. It's a bit of a drive for me but worth it. My local places have all gone down hill and the larger chains have been going down hill since before the pandemic. I got the shrimp tacos and there was ample cilantro, fresh roasted tomatoes and the shrimp were perfectly cooked, large and flavorful. Other places have been disappointing lately because their shrimp is way over cooked, mealy, tough and bland. Even the Mexican rice and guac salad was better than I've had in a while. My date also lives further away and this was actually a good meeting point for us. She said it was way better than her usual place which she thought was pretty good. Definitely coming back soon.
We came in with a large party and sat quickly, but then it took over 20 minutes to get a drink order in. They were extremely busy and when one waitress noticed that we have not been greeted yet, she came over immediately. She apologized and got our orders in quickly. The drinks were top-notch and the food was delicious. I had the fajita burrito steak, perfect! All 10 people enjoyed their food!!!
Very good experience! The wait was not bad on Friday night and our waitress was very kind and prompt! The food was very good, the white sauce had just the right balance of creamy and tangy, and the salsa was good and flavorful without being super chunky.All our dinners were very tasty but the star of the evening was the Hawaiian quesadilla. Not something I have heard of before let alone ordered, and not the type of thing I usually order, but it was a delicious blend of flavors that I would highly recommend!
Fast and delicious Cali Fries
I have been twice now my food was delicious and when they bring your food to you and tell you the plate is HOT! So is your food NOT just the plate. Service is always fast and staff is friendly and courteous.
Had higher hopes based on the reviews. Beautiful dining room!!! Margaritas were cute and tasty! Fajitas were a bit salty. Bathrooms had trash all over the floor and service was SLLLLOW — super slow— even though it was not busy. We’ll stick with El Puente for now.
1st visit was tonight. We were very pleased with the food and drinks and the friendly staff. Look forward to our next visit.
They get two stars instead of one because the restaurant was beautiful and very clean. The food, however, did not impress. My order was incorrect (gave me Lunch Special #4 instead of the #12 I ordered). They quickly replaced my meal, but my tamal had zero filling. The rest of the dish was just alright. My husband had a small piece of plastic in his chimichanga. Upon checkout, they reduced our bill by $5. We will not be returning!
The food was good but the service needs help. We have come a couple of times and the server straight up left for long periods of time. The food is very tasty though!
