Only reason there is one star was our waitress was nice, the service was ridiculously slow AND we left hungry, the sashimi appetizer slices were so thin I couldn’t believe it! We ordered a couple rolls and a gyoza as well. One of the rolls was actually pretty good, the Bon Bon is a def no we left it in the plate smh!! It has fried rice under it and mashed up tuna and stuff on top, not amazing at all, such a bad experience, never again *SIGH*
Had pretty good soba, with a delicious broth. The miso soup was very good. Spicy tuna roll is spicy due to what looks like red pepper flakes, and I did not like it. The California roll had a little too much mayo for my taste. The teriyaki chicken was ok, the teriyaki was watery and I think the chicken was boiled. I'd go back for the atmosphere but probably not the bulk of the food.
I found great luck in deciding to come here for dinner! Clean place, amazing aesthetic and welcoming staff. Food was stellar (Got the Spicy Miso Ramen and Cucumber Rolls) barely had a drop of food left in my bowl. Left fat and happy, and had to leave with two of their shirts (so cute). Recommend this place to all and me and the wife will be back! Also the pink lemonade (free refills) was great too, among everything else.
If you want the best sushi around then this is the place to go. I took my wife for her birthday and it was a great experience. They have octopus, Japanese red snapper, and plenty of other great tasting rolls. They are currently only open at certain hours so be sure to check before hand.
I spent 3 years in Japan and my wife is Japanese. We were so happy to find this place. Great authentic Japanese food
We have been going to this place for years. We have noticed that portions are getting smaller and smaller. By designing the plate with the shell, they think it distracts customers' attention from extremely small portions of seaweed salad. Ridiculous! I asked for a little wasabi, so the server brought the menu to me and pointed that I will be charged 1$. Very disappointed and won't go back there. It seems that the place (chief) became cheap and greedy and that's pushing customers away. Same with the soup. It used to have a lot of mushrooms, chicken, clams... Not anymore, need to make an effort to find those ingredients in the bowl. But you will clearly see noodles.
Loved this authentic Japanese restaurant! Everything was delicious, my only complaint is that my ramen was too salty. I'm going to bring a friend and have them try the Ramen too, just to be sure. Haven't tried their sushi yet, planning for next time, I'll edit my review when I go again.
It was ok, needs a better menu. Good was great as was the service.
Unique offering and everything is crafted to perfect. It's reasonable pricing for this high dining experience
Must go to restaurant when I come to VA Beach to visit my son and daughter in law. The food is excellent and the service is friendly. the place is small so you may want to make a reservation. Some of my favorites are the Hiro roll, daikichi Roll and the Godzilla Roll. They're lunch special is very reasonable
