We decided to change a little bit and visit this breakfast place on Sunday morning. We were greeted with - “ They are 13 people in front of you” . I thought it was a joke at the first moment. They left us hang by the door. We did not know should we seat ourselves or wait for someone. My 3 years old went ahead and picked a table. We sat with no menus. No one came to take our drink order. We waited and waited and the employees were moving slow and ignoring us. They were 10 people total sitting at the moment in the restaurant besides us. Very disappointing especially when you are with a child. Unacceptable and rude!!!!!I would not recommend this breakfast restaurant to anyone.
Our visit was on a rainy, cold Sunday morning. We were warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant by the chef and server. I ordered the pancake combo with, two eggs over hard, grits and turkey sausage. My friend ordered the French toast combo with scrambled eggs, grits and sausage. Large portion size and very tasty food that reminds me of home cooking. This is a small establishment with friendly staff and wholesome, good food.
I stumbled up on this location. I read the reviews and decided to have a bite with my dude. So walking in, staff was very welcoming. Sat down and had coffee fresh pot was made btw ?. So my dude arrived and we ordered my guy is a country man. He cooks his food a certain type of way. So he was explaining how he wanted his eggs prepared the waiter made me feel like I was asking too much and it wasn't me asking. Btw prior to my dudes arrival he was plugging me on how he hopes that they get a crowd bcuz he needed the money. I say all that to say this..if you're trying to get money just accommodate without making it seem like it is a big deal...even if it is...we tipped handsomely..Food was ok not what I hoped..I want to try lunch next time...stand by for my long winded critique. Great customer service from the owner!
Great customer service, great atmosphere and great food! I enjoyed!
Seriously cracked. Drove 30 minutes to get here. Their site said they are open from 8:00 am -3:00 pm. We rolled up at 1:25 and all doors were locked. I noticed a hand written sign scratching out 3:00 pm on their Sunday hours to 1:30 pm. When I looked totally exasperated, the owner/manager opened the last door to say that a big party came in and he was doing all he could to handle them. The front part of the restaurant looked pretty empty. He laughed and said, "Next Sunday will probably be empty!" Not cool! If you advertise your hours, you hire enough staff to handle your customers, especially when it's half empty!
Good prices, friendly folk, food not bad. Pancakes were really good as was the sausage and bacon but my fried eggs were nearly raw and inedible. I'll go back, I'll just be sure to specify my cook preference next time.
This place never disappoints. Every time we make our way down here for breakfast it's delicious.
We are from Ohio and every time we visit our granddaughters we make sure we go to the D’cracked egg. Great people, great food. I look forward to my breakfast here every time.
