Food was great and service was excellent
Great food and great atmosphere and alot of goodies in their gift shop.
This is my go to place for down home comfort food. The service is always stellar and I have never been disappointed with any of their menu options. (I highly recommend their slow cooked roast beef!) I would like it if they brought back Uncle Herschel's breakfast. As an added bonus their country store is an amazing place to shop for gifts and unique items and my grandson LOVES the old fashioned candies that are no longer sold in regular stores.
Portion of French Toast very small. Manager offered no compensation. Corporate give free dessert when I expressed that I would probably not return. This is the Adult portion.
Come step back into time gone by...Enjoy Some good Old Fashion Southern home town cooking..
Love Cracker Barrel Fish Fry Fridays. I took my parents. Cameron was our server. Did an awesome job. Fast service. Warm, yummy biscuits. Delicious food.
Pecan pancakes and French toast were great. Everything else was undercooked. Hostess was great, waitress was very slow for a store that was not busy at all. Maybe try the one on Greenbrier if you need a Cracker Barrell fix.
On January 4 2022 it was my 65th birthday. My husband and I ate supper at the cracker barrel in Chesapeake. Our waitress was Scarlett. She was fabulous. When I told her it was my birthday she went to get me a dessert. When she came back to our table she had paid for our meal and a piece of cake for me. It was all I could do not to cry. I have never been as touch by an act of kindness as was by this kind gesture. We tried to pay her back but she refused. She is a one of kind person and cracker barrel is lucky to have such an awesome person. With everything going on in this world now it is uplifting to to know there are still people in this world like Scarlett. Wishing Scarlett all the best to come to you for your kind gesture. We were seated for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Many of the servers walked by, but not even a drink order. I decided to raise my hand and hold it in the air until the manager (who had looked at us several times) finally came over to ask us if we had been greeted. We said no and he walked off and said a server would be with us shortly. At 21 mins a server came to take our order. Then we sat there for another 10 minutes and did not even get a drink. We decided to leave. It wasn't busy at all, it wasn't a shift change, its just a very poorly managed location. I Do not recommend going there.
For the holidays they limited their menu to two pages, missing a ton of good healthier options. Not a local decision obviously, but we had to leave and find somewhere everyone in the family could order something.
