I hadn't eaten at a Cracker Barrel in a while, so I put in a pickup order one night for dinner. The employees were not acting professionally - one (who turned out to be off the clock) was trying to flirt with another one who was clearly annoyed and not interested. When the food came out, they didn't have everything I ordered. They offered to make something else, which was great, but when I got home, it was missing half the meal. The food I had was good, though.Decided to give them another chance a few weeks later. Tried ordering online for curbside, and it didn't work. Called the store and put in the entire order, and the employee said it couldn't be done curbside and to order online. I said it didn't work, so what should I do? She told me to order online again. So I downloaded the app, and that didn't work either. I decided to come in to order later. I got two texts a short time after saying my food was ready. I called the store, and they said they didn't have any orders from me. When I came in later, I double checked. Again, no orders. I put in an order with someone else as instructed. A little while later, the food came out, and i noticed something was not right. When I showed the employee, they said it was right. Okay... Went to pay, and there were two orders for my name. They said I could pay one, and the other wouldn't go through. They acted extremely annoyed with me for asking questions and kept making inappropriate comments with their coworkers. Again, I got home, and the order was indeed wrong like I said it was, and later I discovered I was indeed charged twice. When I called the restaurant, the person who answered the phone told me they would make a note and call in a couple days. A week later, I had to call back. They finally took off the charge, but it was such a nightmare.Even though the food was good (at least the few meals they got right...hence the 2 instead of 1 star rating), I won't be visiting this location again. It's not worth the headache.
It was busy so the service wasn’t that great but the food was decent.
Was on hold for 12 minutes just to order food. Employees are rude. Show up to pick up my food an hour later only to have to wait another hour and 30 minutes!!!!! 2 and a half hours for food??? And the manager is a cvnt. I saw the manager yelling at employees. No wonder they’re short staffed. I wouldn’t wanna work with them either.
Loved the meal and the pancakes. Friendly staff!
It was Sunday after church when we went there so you expect them to be busy. We were told there was a 60 minute wait!We put our name on the list and decided to just hang around, we found out that the wait period was so long because they only had two servers on duty. After about a twenty minute wait a waitress grab my wife and said she could get us in. So we were lucky and got in early. The food was great, “I had the pot roast and the wife had chicken fried chicken “ Even though they were short staffed the staff that was there was very good and didn’t make us feel like they were too busy.
Our server was amazing and my first time here was good, had the country fried steak dinner and it was good!
Advanced ordered food to be delivered at 5:30pm, placed order around 2:30pm..Ordered 4 piece fried chicken with two sides and corn bread. The chicken was not done!! Burned on the outside raw at the bone!!! Corn bread was SO hard I couldn’t bite into them.. the sides were ok but they were stone cold like my order was put together at 2:30 and sat there until 5:30 delivery time.. won’t get me again!
I visited the location on Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake, Virginia on Saturday, March 19, 2022 to order dinner To-Go. I was told that would not be possible because a server was not available to take my order. I have never, ever, never been told such a thing before. I was literally stunned as there was at two employees in the establishment.
I was so disappointed with this food. It was horrible !!I had not eaten at Cracker Barrel in a very long time. I see why now.1. Our food was given to us cold2. We still had to wait 4 mins on our silverware after our food was served3. Sweet potato was not cooked . Very hard & cold& served to us 10 mins after out entrée was served.4. Food is very bland VERY.5. They remade our food, and it still was not cooked right.6. Our server was very nice I will not put the food blame on her.
I went in for a table for one waited around all the overpriced merchandise that really is a scam no one person needs to wait for a seat that long then they seat groups of 4,5,6 after a 45 min wait I’m no longer hungry and I ok with the time spent waiting and I saved all my money that’s for letting me feel how much your service is offered at the lowest level of the costumer experience
