So today my husband and I went out for lunch. And we saw this place and decided to stop in. OMG the food was AMAZING! The staff was very friendly! Our cups stayed full with drinks. Our waitress was stinking sweet. This place gives a entire vibe. If you want a alcohol beverage. They have a good selection of wine, beer and the hard stuff lol. So two meals, drinks and desserts cost us about 50$. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE KEY-LIME CHEESECAKE! Oh bring a jacket it’s pretty cold in there.
The staff was quite friendly and very attentive as I arrived right when they opened. I ordered the daily special of the day which was the fried fish with green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. The fish was really good as we're the potatoes, though the green beans were very bland. However, I will visit again at some point because there were other items on the menu I also wanted to try.
Perfessional, while sitting in my car on a work call after closing, I watched one of the men make sure a young lady got to her car safely. He had to walk all the way around the building to get back into the restaurant. You don't see things like that anymore. Made me love the restaurant even more. Great job! Always a good experience.
Went to dinner there for the first time with one of our Pastors from the church and my family. For a small place I was a little surprised at how well they took everyone's needs personally. The prime rib was the special and all of us got it and none were disappointed! Very generous size and cooked well to everyone's taste. Thank you to everyone at Courthouse cafe glad to find a new go to place!
We ordered 2 prime ribs and 2 soups as a pick up order, and it was super disappointing. My soup had a bug in it, the salad was wilted, brown, and soggy, and my prime rib was overcooked. I emailed the restaurant about the bug in my soup and didn’t even receive a response. Def don’t recommend his place.
Who would have thought that a small restaurant basically in a strip mall would be such a fine dining experience? The atmosphere felt elegant but still comfortable, the prime rib was the best I've ever had, and the service was excellent! This will be our new must-stop whenever traveling through the area.
Nice atmosphere, great food. Excellent service.
Eaten here twice, both times were not good. It's like stepping back to the 70's... no variety and they cooked my dates steak wrong, twice.... very over priced for what you get. The 2 stars were because our server was so nice... this restaurant needs a serious overhaul.
So so disappointed. Granted I have been to more than anyone's fair share of seafoods finest parts of the world. But I was told this was a local favorite. All I have to say is that these locals need to expand their horizons a bit. The flavor is surly lacking. I think the "chef" may be reading out of an old Betty Crocker cook book. And has no idea how to use seasonings. I really hate to insult any "cook". But this was one of my worst experiences at a " Best of Chesapeake" restaurants. Which are only winners because they pay to advertise in their magazine.
The food was great, and the service was better. I was on a road trip and happened to stop by, but I fully intend to return if I'm ever in the area again.
