I was very disappointed in the condition of the restaurant, the ceiling is very spotted and dirty all the counters were dirty and dingy. I had the fish and chicken meal and the chicken looked and tasted like nugget strips that were bought in the bag from the grocery store and almost nugget size. My friend got the flounder and shrimp and the flounder was super thin and smaller then the palm of her hand and only like five very small shrimp. The overall quality of the food including the sides were not good at all. And the cleanliness was terrible and the employees seemed very miserable to be there. It is a shame because Captain D's has always been one of my favorites and a treat to get to go since I only get to go there about once a year.
Wife and I went there for dinner last night. The pink haired girl who was taking orders was so completely rude to everybody. She also talked like she had a mouth full of mush and you could barely understand her. She wouldn't stay in front of you long enough to hear your order so I had to repeat it three times. There was another girl behind the counter with long fake hair down to her knees who didn't say anything but kept giving us dirty looks. The place also was absolutely filthy and stunk like garbage. We finally got our order placed and I picked up some tartar sauce containers that were stacked on the counter. Miss pink hair literally yelled at me,"don't do that". That was the final straw. I demanded my money back and we left,never to return to this rat hole. By the way,the guy,who I assume was the mgr.,that came out to return our money,was very nice,apologetic and wished us a nice day. Kudos to him.
Good lunch specials at $5.99. Try the grilled talapia lunch portion, it is delish. Comes with bread, drink and a side for $5.99+ tax. Easier to order inside for take-out as drive thru is always busy.
Captain Ds is always good. Nice and hot. After getting a fountain drink and seeing how nasty the machine was I could only wonder what was going on inside the machine. I didn't finish my drink.
First, this review is for the Captain D’s (owner), Battlefield location. Four years and more someone’s review stated “the place is nasty”. If your patron are sending you pictures of your investment, why are you not listening. You replied and that seems to be the end of your follow up. I too will attach pictures (12/23/21). Maybe you should be checking for mold, etc. and not just a check.Secondly, your employee Angel, she deserves five stars and more. She’s polite, informative and a pleasant worker. She own that front line. Welcome to Captain D’s, hello, thank you and happy holidays to everyone of your customers. I can only hope her pay equals her salary. Real talk.

Much Better quality than the Norfolk, VA location. Like that the green beans were placed in a separate container . Will come back to this location.
Battlefield location has changed. Staff seemed too busy talking to one another. They forgot to put butter and sour cream on both orders of baked potatoes. Rest of order was fine.
I ordered take out, Supreme platter and an order of fried clams. The platter was overcooked but the clams were ok. Very disappointed. It certainly wasn't worth the price.
