Took about ten or more minutes for anyone to notice my party of two was at the door. There were only two other parties seated. Then it took another ten minutes for the waitress to come out. Another twenty minutes to get drinks. And lastly probably another twenty minutes to get food. The party that was seated after us got everything faster than we did. But the staff was nice and the food was good. This location needs to have their rugs cleaned and a good dusting.
My Mother and I hadn't been to Applebee's since the pandemic. Today was such a beautiful day so we decided to come out. Lilly was our server. She was excellent. We got the 2 for $28. Plenty of food. We had the onion rings as our appetizer. Momma had the Chicken broccoli Alfredo and I had the riblets and fries. We still added a salad a piece. Our leftovers left with us. Great day!
Absolutely horrible. This has been a favorite for my family and I am so upset and disappointed. We placed an order for 2 drinks and a smoothie for my 3 year old daughter. The waiter had to come back 3 times because she forgot the drinks every single time. She claims she is in training but if that is so then write it down if you cannot remember.On top of that almost 30 minutes later my daughter never got her smoothie. Also our dinner was never ordered. She finally wanted to come back after I asked for the check. I am absolutely digusted at the level of service.
We (two of us) arrived at 12:25pm on a Thursday afternoon. We were told it'd be 15-20 minutes to be seated (hostess did explain they were short staffed), so we asked to wait at the bar. We were seated at 1:15. Ordered an appetizer and entrees, received the app at 1:30, was almost 2pm when our meals came.The people were nice, the food was pretty good. Fortunately we weren't in a hurry. I'd recommend calling ahead to check wait times, but don't go if you're on a lunch break or wanting to grab a quick bite.
I did not have a good experience at this location! The food and drinks were good and I was greeted by nice staff at the door. However the bartender's ( named Polo) attitude was HORRIBLE. First, he kept bad mouthing other staff members... especially the other bartender. Then, he brought my check and he had rang me up incorrectly. I had Happy Hour top shelf long islands but he rang me up for regular priced Mucho Long Islands. Not a problem as long as you fix it. When I pointed it out to him, he told me Top Shelf Long Islands were not on Happy Hour. So, I asked to see the menu. Then he said, "You don't believe me? You've been drinking, not me and your judgment is off." Once he brought the menu I saw that my drink WAS on Happy Hour so he called the manager to change the price. After that, it was as if he was very angry. He told me he overcharged me on those drinks because he didn't charge me for other drinks (makes no sense by the way). He would walk by me and make little negative comments to my friend such as, "I don't like your friend." At one point I told him to please stop talking to me all together. Then he said again, "It's that drinking." So, I asked to speak to a manager. Polo's response was "What? You think your going to get me in trouble?"The manager Chris did a great job listening to my friend and I's concerns and he was very accommodating. I don't understand why the bartender was so rude, unprofessional, and angry. I'm unsure if I would return to this location. I definitely wouldn't if Polo is the bartender.
they seated us next to a car battery. they have roaches. it smells like pee. it took 40 minutes to get my food and it was far from busy. when i joked i was an inspector because i accidentally went into the kitchen they say, "we do not tolerate inspectors here." the restroom is absolutely disgusting. they have obviously never cleaned the booths (which they're supposed to do frequently). if i were an inspector id probably cry.
This place is horrible! The service, the food, and the drinks. I ordered a 6oz sirloin medium, it was definitely medium well, with garlic mashed potatoes and a side ceaser salad. I received no salad, broccoli instead and was told that's how it comes. I've been to many Applebee's and have always altered my order without issue. I ordered a margaritas and a glass of water. We got food before our drinks and never received water. The margaritas tasted like straight mix. The server clearly did not listen to anything that was ordered. With service like this Applebee's will be the next restaurant chain to close.
Me and my wife have had pretty poor experiences at this specific location. We used to live in Norfolk and would go to the Tidewater Dr location and had amazing service. The Sam's Circle location is still very bad. We moved back to Chesapeake and decided to give it another try since it had been a few years since we last ate there. We decided to sit at the bar since it was empty. I ordered a draft beer and was told they had no draft beers at all at that time. Our food was cooked the way we ordered it and was brought out in a decent amount of time, but our bartender, Lilly, never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and would disappear constantly, even tho the bar was still empty. My wife had to eat her entire meal with nothing to drink. It took her far to long to take my credit card after giving me my check. Won't go back here again.
Goo food, decent prices. Professional staff. Drinks from bar are very weak. Don't come here when looking for good made alcoholic drinks. You will definitely be disappointed ?
Nobody in the restaurant staff was terrible come back to the table was a challenge. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. That my opinion. Man across his waitress didn't bring him silverware. He kept trying to get her attention.
