I asked to be seated outside and told me there was a 20 min wait. I gave them my number and went for a walk. When I came back I discovered that they let a large party skip in front of me and that I needed to wait another 30-40 mins to be seated. They could have texted me at the very least.

We had the cod (good) and salmon (very good), along with a mojito flight (OK--certainly not too strong) and then a regular size mojito of the one we liked best. The bill was $106 before tip. Service was good, and the food came quickly.

My second time here. Fantastic again! Excellent salmon. Excellent scallops. The crispy brussel sprouts with chorizo was outstanding. Very attentive staff. I highly recommend Zocalo when in C'ville and you want to elevate your dining experience.

Nice industrial atmosphere, great service! And the drunken sirloin, and scallop dinner are the best! And don't forget the cheese fritters, delicious!

Wonderful place to get a drink. Wish we stayed for food.

The service was great and our server was so kind and helpful! The food was delicious and overall our experience was great. Will definitely be returning.

The food was just okay but certainly not worth the hefty bill. The service was good but I wouldnt dine there again.

Wife and I had our anniversary dinner here and what a great choice it was. This place is a well oiled machine. Arrived and was greeted with complimentary champagne. (Thank you guys) started with the cheese fritters, fantastic crispy outer shell with warm gooey cheese inside, that raspberry sauce compliments it beautifully. My steak was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice. Wifes salmon was delicious as well. Opted for the Mexican bread pudding with vanilla and pasilla home made ice cream. Pasilla means raisin so in my mind I thought it was vanilla and raisin ice cream, I was pleasantly surprised when I felt a tingle in the back of my throat and understood they use chile pasilla in the ice cream and not raisins. actually enjoyed it. Great dinner and highly recommended it. One more thing let me get the recipe for that Mexican old fashioned it was awesome.

As a New Yorker coming to UVA for a recruiting event, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is simply exquisite: fresh and flavorful. The chocolate pudding is to die for. Service was excellent as well.

There is a chef in the kitchen. The quality of the meal is the proof. I had an amazing grilled salmon, which was bursting with flavor. We also had polenta fries and asparagus.
