So every time we go to any locations in cville we are ignored for so long that we have to leave. They don’t tell us about a wait or say we’ll be with you in a minutes. And when we actually get served they are so rude. I have no idea why we even try to come anymore. Tried today and the same thing happened. We are never going to any location in Cville again.
Went for Sunday breakfast (4/24). Not crowded but had to wait because 4 tables and two spots at the bar had not been cleared. One gal chatting with folks at a table. One gal in the “back room” on her phone. Two cooks and one gal going back and forth at the cook station.We waited maybe 5 minutes and nothing changed. We were not acknowledged. The floor was filthy with things that could easily have been swept up. But— the last straw was when the waffle guy picked up the waffles off the griddle with his BARE hands— not gloved— and plated them! We left. We won’t go back. If I knew who owned the franchise, I’d be calling them!
I ordered to go when I arrived. It didn't take long to prepare. Love the hash browns and sausage!
Restaurant is showing the signs of post-pandemic recovery. Only 2 employees the entire time I was there but they were professional and very helpful. Food was good and I will probably go back next time I am in the area.
Nice staff but only one person working on floor but seemed to be on break. 10 minutes later three staff came from back to work. Cheese and eggs were dry as well as sausage. Grits tasted good and chill I was good. Staff were nice but while I was eating they all disappeared again. Maybe meeting ?
Absolutely terrible. Waited over 30 min for anyone to even try to take our order while the 2 guys working focused on Togo orders and couldn’t even be bothered to get the people actually sitting in the store even some water. We would have gone somewhere else but it was late and they were the only thing open. Even after 2/5 tables orders were taken, no drinks hit tables until the food was served and, again, our order hadn’t been taken and basic things hasn’t been done. They seemed to think they were busy, but really weren’t. I don’t know where the breakdown was, but serving 2 tables at a time or one Togo order at a time and ignoring the other guests is insanity. At least get people drinks and they’ll be more understanding of the wait.
Super welcoming and friendly, great Waffe House food as always! Always love them calling out the orders live to the cooks!
They have consistently delicious hash browns especially when you get them all the way (every topping plus chili and gravy). Their omelets and their bacon are also very tasty.
Horrible. Service food available seating thumbsdown for all.It used to be a great nostalgic place and a treat.Half of the restaurant was closed off and seating made customers sit near bathroom and outside doors. 2 people and cook kept leaving and wS on phone whole time other waiter just slowNot again
It is a classic Waffle House that does it all as as they should EXCEPT for Waffles, which is supposed to be their thing. So, it is half of a House in the end, hence the three stars.This locations waffles are pale and underdone at least on one half of one side every single time after time. No exceptions. Always pale and underdone. (It's probably the irons and/or using a time setting based on new and spotless irons).
