I cannot believe it's taken me so long to post a review. I've been coming here for over 10 years. This has always been my absolute favorite spot in all of charlottesville. The tea, the hookah, the ice cream, the shows, all of it is wonderful.

Go to Botanical Plant Based Fare for BETTER tea, BETTER service AND a free to use restroom. Terrible experience here, they denied me access to the restroom because I did not want to purchase anything. It felt like 90 degrees outside, and needed a place to cool off, yet they denied me because of the "traffic" in the downtown mall, although the place at the time was completely empty. Would rate lower if I could.

I enjoyed the tea, food, and the ambience! I highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys tea, wants to learn more about teas, or just want a different atmospheric vibe. I had the masala chai, soup of the day with salad (upgraded to Bazaar salad for an extra $2, totally worth it!) and their almond pavé. Everything was delicious!

I have been a customer here since I was in college, and it always feels magical. The wide variety of tea is all delicious.

One of the absolute best spots in cville. Amazing, yet surprisingly healthy food, Wide variety of tasty tea, booze and great service. The Atmosphere/energy is always chill and relaxed here and there are lots of cozy spots to chill solo or with a friend/friends. Nice back patio.

This place is so relaxing and beautiful. It smells divine and offers a large selection of teas and great food options. I had the Bazaar Salad and was not disappointed!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I'm a student who just tried to find a nice quiet place to study. When I entered this establishment at the time it had many open tables. I chose my table and begin my studying. Shortly after an older lady with dark red hair approached me and asked if I was going to order something. I said not at the moment.. She left me alone but kept eyeing me consistently (very uncomfortable). After about five to ten minutes she came back and said, "I need to purchase something in order to stay here and If I wanted to study somewhere I could go to the library." Her reasoning was that they're an establishment trying to pay rent. I get it but when you're kicking people out, that's not going to help you pay rent. I was in there for 15 minutes and had my worst customer experience ever. So bad that I never post reviews until now. As I was leaving I commented about all the open tables they had and she replied with "never come back here again". Believe me, I won't. I was already having a bad day dealing with the invasion of my home country of the Ukraine and I didn't think my day could get any worse. It did and I want to thank the employee of Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar for her overwhelming pride and ego that led to this terrible experience.

After another five minutes she came back and said "I need to order something to stay here and if I wanted to study somewhere I should go to the library." She had a very rude and loud tone that she voiced in front of the other customers. I would have ordered something eventually but I wanted to address an email for a client first. Her rudeness made me very upset and instead of ordering something I decided to leave. As I was walking out I commented about all the open tables and she replied with "never come back here again". I feel sad for this 40+ year old lady that works as a waitress at Twisted Branch Tea Bazaar and makes it her daily mission to kick people out within 10 - 20 minutes for not ordering anything. She had a lot of pride and ego kicking out a student who's just trying to study.

This place really is an experience. Growing into my love for teas over the years, I had never been to somewhere that catered to just that...tea lovers. You have teas by certain sorts of leaf, teas by theme (the one for stomach calming worked wonders on me), teas I had never even heard of, so many choices that I honestly think the worst part of my experience here was having to choose between a multitude of great seeming options. One thing I will note though, the food was not bad, but it was small, so if you are trying to get anything more than a snack, I would probably recommend somewhere else on the mall, following up with a tea here afterwards.
