Let me say that this was a typical diner. Service was good. I had the pastrami on rye and it was a bit greasy. Other than that the food was good.
Food and service were fantastic.
Quick service. Filled with patrons on Sunday morning but orders were filled with speed and check out was fast.
A local told us to check this place put while we were in town and I'm so dang glad we did. They have an amazing selection of food! Great flavors and an incredible staff. We will certainly remember Tip Top Restaurant and come back again sometime. ?
Been here for breakfast a few times in the past - late lunch this time. Had a cheeseburger ? and onion ? rings. Both were fine however I believe the cheeseburger meat was probably once frozen. Meal was fine but nothing special. Great service and clean establishment considering it’s age. I believe the building was originally a Howard Johnsons restaurant. $$
Always amazing food. Have visited several times and the food is consistently delicious. It can get a bit noisy but that’s because it’s so popular. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant if you can’t find parking up front and the view from the back of the parking lot is great! They take reservations and if you have more than 4 people you probably need one.
We stopped here while traveling based on the good Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. I had an omlet with home fried potatoes and my wife had a waffle with blueberry topping. We were both well satisfied. the food was well prepared and we could barely eat it all. Will stop again if we are in the area.
Grilled chicken Sub and onion rings were outstanding. Husband got Steak & Cheese sub, best sub steak I've ever tasted. Not our favorite fries (steak) but bread pudding & ice cream more than up for it. Our waitress was excellent, the personality one should expect in Charlottesville. Overall, A+!
if u want fast and friendly service with fantastic good ,I highly recommend Tiptop.
There are three items that create the most value for the customer: Prices, Service and quality. Tip Top has it all. Lowest prices in Charlottesville for the quality of food that they serve. Portions are large and most customers leave with to-go boxes. Service is excellent, most servers have been there for over a decade and know repeating customers by name. Quality is key, most sauces are home made and it truly tastes home made. The parking lot is full which indicates the success of the restaurant.
