Great Lebanese food! Never had a bad experience. Would recommend the chicken shawarma
First time trying the place and absolutely loved it. I ordered the shawarma chicken bowl on Uber Eats and the pickup process were super smooth. The food itself tastes amazing. The pita bread was so soft and flavorful. The hummus was smooth and goes perfectly with the pita bread. The chicken were so juicy and goes so well with the garlic sauce. It really was a lot of food! AirPods Pro case for reference. It’s worth the price even if it seems high for a small store like this—the quality is not worse than places like CAVA and you get really full.
This was some of the best Mediterranean food I have eaten, certainly the best in Virginia! The labneh was so thick, creamy, and tart I would bathe in it! The lamb gyro bowl was scrumptious. The hummus (which, let's face it is ubiquitous these days) was so flavorful and smooth my husband ate it by the spoonful! We finished our meal with Lebanese coffee and baklava that actually brought a happy tear to my eye! Eat here! EAT IT ALL!
This place is phenomenal. I had the chicken shawarma bowl and it is so filling and delicious. Everything including the bread is made from scratch. I definitely come back here! Very nice and welcoming staff!
This place is super good! I haven't tasted anything remotely close to the authenticity that they offer, vegan and vegetarian friendly with more than 4 vegan dishes. Must try
It's hard to give this place a 3 star review, because the people are so friendly, the owner seeming like a wonderful guy who just wants to share his passion for food with others. So 2 stars for that, and 1 star for the quality of the food, because it was pretty good, nothing amazing, but better than average. The problem is the pricing and the portion. Like many other places on the corner, you are not getting a good bang for your buck here, as 3/4 of my eating companions (myself included) went on to eat a second dinner despite having spent a normal amount for a dinner.Recommendations: Reduce food prices, up portion sizes.
ordered a 5 piece baklava for $7. got a store brought plastic wrapped package of tiny baklavas. had the brand name and expiration date and everything. waste of money
Hands down one of the best places to eat in Charlottesville. If you want try authentic Lebanese food, this is the place to be. Would definitely recommend the halloumi bacon, get it almost every time.
The flatbread was delicious. Freshly made, warm and filled with a tasty mix of vegetables, cheese and oil. As a plus, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.
Ordered from Grubhub and this has to be one of the worst take-out meals we've had here in Cville. Not only did our side order of $5 hummus come with ONLY a half of a pita, but the shawarma wraps were completely lacking. My "chicken" shawarma had 5 pieces of frozen chicken strips and more sauce/pickles than anything else. The beef- don't get me started. One of the members of our party lived in Lebanon for a year and can honestly say this is the FARTHEST thing from Lebanese food one could order. Don't waste your time nor money.
