Had the ribs and the cheeseburger salad (#health). The ribs were amaaazing, idk who said they were dry, but ours were NOT! The Mac and cheese was not that great, but good enough. I would subtract 0.5 stars for the Mac and cheese, but rounding up to 5, since everything else was perfect.Service was perfect, drinks were great. Fun love music every night. All in all, would definitely come again.
Absolutely one of my bars ever. Whiskey selection, cocktails and food was all very very good. I can't wait to go back.

The fried oysters were tasty. The drinks were watered down. Only two people working, so service was abysmal.

This is probably my favorite restaurant the food and the atmosphere is my favorite part when a band is playing it’s a different world everyone is happy and topped with the food it’s wonderful i absolutely love this place
We stopped in between lunch and dinner on a Friday. We sat down straight away and enjoyed the bbq nachos. Our group had ribs, sausage, the fried chicken sandwich, salad, and fried chicken with collared greens. Food and service was delicious.
We were visiting Charlottesville VA and found this awesome place called The Whiskey Jar, great food great music, drinks. A must to see while in town. Thanks
Went on a Monday night with family from out of state, really loud with a band. Everyone's food was good, whiskey sour was amazing. Jar salad was excellent, along with cornbread. Service was attentive, they just didn't smile or seemed like they wanted to be there. Great place to dine outside.
