Can’t beat the the Historic Charlottesville Mall sitting outside and relaxing with family and friends with great service, food and local craft brew!

Granted it was early afternoon on a Sunday, but there was no need to go through what we did. We were promptly seated inside and I understand that everywhere is short staffed but waiting 12 minutes to take a drink order and then another 12 minutes to get them and two were wrong. Finally, our food order was taken and when that arrived two of us had someone else's meals. Management needs to work on staffing!

An old school feel with an elevated diner gourmet menu. It’s a killer combo.Had the honey chicken sliders, the strawberry salad (the dressing, OMG, so delicious), burgers and fries- all of it was on point. Nothing disappointing to note. Our service was friendly and nice, even on a busy Saturday evening as sat outside.I brought my kids, both of them teenagers.I would definitely go back. I like a the old school 1950s vibe that kept. And it’s definitely not your good ol greasy spoon type of place either. Not a gluten allergy or vegan friendly place, fyi.

Amazing crab cakes. Brie and chicken sandwich also incredible flavour. Lovely staff. Kim took great care of us

Very friendly service and cute spot. Not sure about my French toast but the eggs Benedict was a success.

A very nice quaint restaurant in the historic district. Super great staff and the breakfast we had was phenomenal. We also had the big cinnamon roll, delicious!

This was my second visit to The Nook. As a single Dad bringing my precious Baby Girl with me wherever I go, I tend to try find a place where I won't feel like an inconvenience to the staff. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and with the beautiful Virginia weather I would chosen to be seated outdoors. The slightly over cool breeze would have been too much for my baby. The first visit proved to be extremely worthwhile for me. The staff were very accommodating from the Hostess, Camille to every other person I interacted with. Believe me, when service is awesome like this, the amazing food just tastes that much better. My first visit, I had the Chesapeake. Benedict on top of a Maryland Crab Patty. This was my first Benedict with this protein selection. It was nothing short of delicious indeed. I finished off with the single JUMBO Pancake, you really only need one unless that's all you're having. Great texture on the Pancake. It had a light crisp on top and allowed for me to do the happy buttering myself. Dipped in a very thick syrup and I was in Pancake heaven. Oh, and the coffee..... My server, for my second cup, asked politely if I didn't mind waiting as a new batch was almost done brewing. This is how it should be done! Set the correct expectations for your customers. I've been to restaurants that just had me waiting for a refill without any information. Kinda makes you feel forgotten. This last visit( yesterday 3-20-21) was every bit as amazing as the first visit. First off, the hostess remembered us. That's a super plus! The seating accommodation was thought about, instead of just rushing us into the next available table. For today's brunch I had the All The Way Breakfast. Perfectly prepared Sunny side eggs and just a light crisp on the sausages Yesssss. The southwest breakfast potatoes were freaking amazing. Presentation texture and the bottom line FLAVOR were all off the charts. Honestly the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had, seriously. I finished with the Artisan French Toast and I was completely satisfied with that as well. Again, I did the happy buttering myself haha. Fresh coffee and a super friendly staff topped off the awesome experience here. This is Charlottesville, VA original diner since 1951, and with the way things are being run, they'll be around for decades to come.

Visited this little cafe on a whim while visiting downtown Charlottesville. It was AMAZING. From the friendly staff and delicious food. It was a perfect tuesday morning brunch and if we ever visit again. We will make sure to return to the Nook.P.s. the Bananas Foster french toast is incredible!

Great food, drinks, and service. Absolutely would recommend for breakfast/brunch if you're in the area. One thing to note is that if you want to use the qr code checkout - you have to download an app, make an account, and add a card to pay which is a pain, so it's easier to just leave your card for traditional payment.

The Nook is a great spot to walk for breakfast or lunch! We would recommend the crab cake sandwich and cinnamon roll—both delicious. Service was very friendly, and we enjoyed the laid back diner feel.
