Absolutely amazing experience! This entire complex is a throw-back to another time when service meant something special! Ovi, you are awesome!Thank you so very much for taking care of us!

Pretty restaurant/venue and friendly staff but don't go here if you are wanting an exceptional meal. We had a party of 10 last night and several of us were unsatisfied with the dinner we received. I expected better.

The menu is up to date and everything we had was great. Overly friendly servers.

The Mill Room is a well appointed dining room with a nice atmosphere. Service was excellent~our server even recognized us as customers she had waited on the previous evening at a different Boar's head Resort restaurant. My husband was very pleased with his eggs, sausage and hash browns breakfast plate. I was very disappointed with my order of Biscuits with Sausage Gravy~biscuits were not moist and fluffy, gravy was overly spiced. At a 4 star resort dining room, I expect half and half to be available for coffee, not milk.

The Mill Room is the perfect Valentine’s Day destination! From the moment we arrived, our waitress Ovi provided us with up most hospitality and service. Most importantly, the place is cute yet elegant and food was cooked to perfection. Not picture was a steak actually cooked medium rare, juice and tender. Pictured are pre-appetizer bread and herb butter, chicken with dirty grit, and stuff croissants. With their special Valentine’s Day menu, I look forward to coming back here for Vday next year.

We were that the Boar's Head for the Winter Wander Celebration and visited the Mill Room 3 times, for dinner, breakfast and for drinks. They have a beautiful fireplace in the center wall with chairs around as well as a fantastic dark wood bar and another dining area with great views of the lake. There is an outdoor terrace with seating overlooking the lake also. For dinner I had the Bibb lettuce salad with chicken, pears, cheese and a pomegranate vinaigrette that was outstanding. My wife liked her shrimp and grits and the local beers, the peach blond ale and "the Love" wit were very good. We later returned after the Winter Wander fireworks for those 2 beers and seats at that great bar. For breakfast we had a seat overlooking the lake that was fantastic. My 3 egg omelet was packed with bacon, ham and sausage and as good of one as I have ever had. The home fries superb. My wife liked her oatmeal bowl and the juice and tea hit the spot. The $15 green discount a day for not taking room service is something we had never encountered, but we would use it almost every time if offered and put the discount towards breakfast. Our waiter Erick was excellent and have to say every employee we encountered during our stay at the Boars Head was a notch above.

We haven't been to The Mill Room in a few years so we were really looking forward to our Valentine’s Day dinner. They offered a (3 course) prefixed menu. The first course was mediocre at best. The grit patty was pretty bland and the fried green tomato was cut too thick. The second course, the filet, was very disappointing. I can honestly say I’ve had better cuts of beef at the Outback Steakhouse. The third course, dessert, was the best part of the meal. All in all, our meal was just average and definitely overpriced ($$$) for what it was. On a different note, the atmosphere is warm and cozy and our servers were friendly and attentive.

For my first time at Boar's Head I couldn't say enough good things about it, granted I was only here for the Winter Wander. The servers at the Mill Room were very cordial and easy to get along with. I went with a party of 5 and our server memorized everyone's order perfectly, and our food was brought out to us just as perfectly. This is a FORMAL restaurant so dress appropriately for such! All in all, a good time was had by everyone!

My wife and I stayed at Boars Head and dined at the restaurant on our last night (January 1st). Had multiple staff wait on us and all were friendly and helpful. My wife had a wonderful beet encrusted pork chop and I enjoyed the salmon. All aspects of our meals and the service was very good. We greatly enjoyed our visit. Staying at the hotel we also had very good breakfasts. Both the buffet offerings as well as ordering off the menu were very good and the portions were sizable.

Post reno. Comfortable and well executed. As hotel restaurants go, a real winner.
