The macaroni and cheese was cold. My moms pulled chicken was ice cold. The fish was dry and bland & Fried entirely too hard. the corn had cinnamon or brown sugar or something very disgusting in it. The corn bread was dry and small as a post it sticker. The greens were okay.. tasted like they were canned rather than fresh. For $75 I could’ve done ALOT BETTER. waste of money. I wouldn’t waste my time going here. The only thing that was pretty decent was the fried chicken. Music outside was entirely too loud… it’s a NO FOR ME.
Absolutely wonderful food. Soul food cooked using traditional Alabama recipes. I'm from the UK and travelled all over the States but I can assure you I've never tasted this type of food so good before! Keep up the good work guys! ?
First things first: this place is fabulous. We are from Texas and were missing the comfort foods, so we stopped by to try it out. The food here tastes like home and we can't wait to come back again. The staff is wonderful and we had a great experience. They have something really special here.Things to know:The fish and chicken are fried skin-on, so if that's not your thing, plan accordingly. Outdoor seating is available, which may be a good option if you arrive later in the day. The indoor space can be pretty warm if you don't sit by the window, and there is not a lot of indoor seating for larger parties.

First time eating here- excellent food and so much to eat!! Will definitely go back again!
Feels like an old family style restaurant. Authentic American food. Quiet and pleasant atmosphere that hardens to the 60s. Hand sanitizer provided at the table.Owner is pretty obviously into music and the decor reflects that.The fried chicken and potato salad is delicious, and the platter with two sides is a really great deal at $16. Easily fed our small family.
We recently moved to the area and have been looking for good restaurants to share with family. This place is great! We really enjoyed the chicken and fish. The portion size is very generous. The owner is accommodating and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice! I ordered the fried chicken platter and would definitely order it again the next time that I visit. There’s pictures of different souls singers on the walls and the music that was playing was really nice. The owner was very friendly and made the food himself. The portions are really good for the price too.
