customer service needs some work! I "was" a customer that got treated like a disliked cousin! Food was ok but overpriced..learn to be friendly and you guys will get much better!!
I thought my food was fine. However, I don’t appreciate employees watching me grab condiments (as if to stop me from taking too many). It was my first time going there so it took me a minute because I was looking to see what all was there. An employee walks up and stands next to me and jokes, “excuse the mess, just getting ready for the dinner rush” and just stood there. There was no mess. The condiment section was full. It was clear he was going to stand there while I grab condiments/seasoning. This place came highly recommended, so I’m just going to assume that this individual employee is the issue.
The whiting fish was super dry. Shrimp Po boy was okay. Sweet potato fries was okay but a little bit short weight based on the price. The clam chowder maybe was the best in this meal.
A couple days late, but went here on 1/31/2022. Disclaimer: came here a couple times a couple years ago and really liked it then quality of food and service fell apart and was bad McDonald's quality of both. HOWEVER, came back as we were in the area and felt like something different and we were VERY WELL PLEASED! The service was amazing, friendly, polite, and very professional. The quality of the food was remarkable, probably better than ever before. The sweet potato fries were thick and hearty, the new chicken tenders were "drop the mic" good, and the blackened monster mahi brought back fond memories of our time in Hawaii. So there you have it, if you avoided because of faulty service and subpar food, come back and give it another chance, it's worth it and you will be satisfied.Just a note: besides water, there is no unsweetened/sugar free and caffeine free options, so water is good anyways. I had the unsweet tea and if it was not getting late, I would have had more. Now quit reading and go get you some Skrimp Shack food!
I usually wait to write reviews until I've frequented the establishment at least twice or in occasions when I am exceptionally impressed. In this case, it's both. The food is just awesome and I enjoy the employees there.Highly recommended.
Went in for three lunch combos - didn’t realize by using the word “combo” instead of “special” it was going to be $42 instead of approximately $27.50. I addressed this with the cashier Penny, who escalated to her manager Clay. They told me that because I didn’t ask for the special there was nothing they could do. They didn’t have any fish thawed out ready to be fried and said I could wait if I wanted; most of us are grabbing lunch during a workday and don’t have time to watch fish thaw out. Clay would not budge and seemed redeemed by his stance.Customer service goes a long way; the few dollars it would have “cost” you would have secured a lifelong customer. Pride prevails for MOD Clay.
If you want a fish sandwich, this is the place for you! Sandwiches are huge, and delicious! The crab and shrimp Po Boy is absolutely awesome! This has now become a regular stop for me!! Great staff and great food!
It is just what you think it is... fried deliciousness. Simple no frills tasty food.
The first few times I went the food was great, my Haddock was fried perfectly and the collard greens were some of the best that I've ever had. However, for some reason the food has fallen off, the greens no longer taste like they used to and I ordered a Haddock basket today and the fish wasn't even Haddock. The fish was mushy and under cooked and the fried okra had no taste. This was the last straw for me, I won't be returning.
They say they have "The best fish samwich in town". They're not kidding. ? Had the shrimp and crabmeat Po boy and it was delicious. The shrimp were falling out of the bread. You'll need extra napkins, but your taste buds will celebrate.
