Love this place, such amazing staff.
For the price point the food wasn’t that good. It was just OK similar to a Golden Coral or Woods Grill style restaurant. I ordered the $38 daily dinner special and was shocked how small the portions were. With the high price tag small portions and mediocre food quality we will not return
This place never seems too busy and I really don't understand why...we got the weekend special with an extra lobster tail and the juicy sauce...it was the BOMB! It was enough for two so we spilt it...everything was cooked to perfection, crab legs, lobster tail. Shrimp, corn and potatoes! The waitstaff were extremely nice and attentive and the wall projection screen underwater display was a nice touch! This is our new go to for seafood!
Wasn't sure what to expect because reviews are a weird mix of either great or terrible but we wanted seafood for our anniversary meal and decided to try it.Everything was delicious & cooked just right - highly recommended getting the "Juicy" mix of cooking sauces. Our waitress (Ashlee) took great care of us.Personally, I appreciate that there's so many steamed/boiled options on the menu. Makes it an easy place to eat for celiacs/gluten sensitive.Restaurant & Bathrooms were clean.Yes, it's expensive... it's seafood. If you want cheap seafood go to Long John Silver. If you want "all you can eat" go to a buffet.
Only go here if you want a boil. I got the shrimp boy with fries & I got the shrimp pasta first.. only 4 pieces on shrimp comes on the po boy it.. not very flavorful and you have so much bread left. Fries were pretty greasy. The pasta was ok, tasted better then the sandwich. Just didn’t scream Cajun or wasn’t very flavorful. Our server Daniel did a great job though!
Seafood was way over cooked, portions were very small. Waiter messed up order and charged us extra for something we did not order. Only thing would actually go back for are the mixed drinks.
As someone who was raised on fresh seafood, I'm VERY picky about seafood & proper cooking. This restaurant got the cooking times correct!Pet peeve: Cooking shrimp too long. Shrimp should NOT be tightly curled. They should be a slight curve. Shrimp should not be a tough bite.OK, so the decor is pretty! Red Crab has a very cool projector system with videos of soothing waves. ? They use paper on tables! ?Also, the restaurant didn't smell fishy and that's a GOOD thing!If you order by the pound & want it steamed, it will arrive to table side in a bag that they steamed it in and your corn on the cob & potato are in there too. Very cool idea!I mistakenly thought the sauces I picked were dipping sauces. No, they are steamed with your seafood and are delicious to dip into. Also, you can choose one sauce, have a mix two, or mix them all which ="Juicy" Sauce.If you order by the pound or half-pound, be prepared to get your hands dirty. It's part of the experience! Order a seafood entree of you don't want to eat with your hands.Unlike other seafood places, there are no "unlimited" sides. If you want hushpuppies, you must order them and they are tasty!Red Crab has a full bar.The waitstaff is VERY good! If you don't know what to order, ask them what they recommend. And please, tip them!I would recommend this place as a treat as the prices are higher. (SEE MENU PICS) If you order appetizers, teas & dessert, it's about $80-100.
Place is very clean and servers are friendly. I ordered kids meal catfish and sweet potato fries. Adult meal comes with 4 pieces mine came with 2. Plenty. Wanted to try the crab cake appetizer. Both were tasty. Loved the spicy sauce the crab cakes which were hot and fluffy. The fries were coolish. My friend ordered the crab cake meal. Very yummy. Came with plain white rice and cold, yup cold, broccoli. I think someone forgot to warm it up. Our server was kind to give my friend a discount on her meal. Well done! Good customer service. Looking forward to trying their Dungeness Crab! Or maybe that yummy seafood boil! Make sure you have your appetite, portions are good.
Our first time visit was great. The staff is super friendly and had no wait time on a Saturday night. They had an amazing selection of drinks and seafood. Low country boil is the way to go. Just the right amount of seafood for one person and at a very affordable market price. Hushpuppies and bang bang shrimp for apps are the way to go. The kids fried shrimp meal was on point and delicious. Perfect for our little one. Highly recommend and we will be back.
Had a great experience here with the family. Helen was our server and she was extremely attentive and didn’t miss a beat. Food was tasty and the portions were more than enough. Great decor and vibe.
