Staff are messing around. Food is overpriced gross bread w/ a little bit of non-bread. Milkshake tasted like chemical cleaner fluid.
This is THE worst Potbelly experience I’ve ever had. I ordered through DoorDash. I called to ensure that the message about my hot peppers was received because there was no way of adding them to the order. I spoke with someone who assured me they’d get place in my sandwich. Well, they did not. Neither did the onions or pickles. The bread was burnt. It was absolutely gross. So disappointed.
This was our first time trying Potbelly. We ordered 2 veggie melt subs on the app for pickup. Somehow one was missing the mushrooms that automatically come on the sandwich and it was also missing added toppings. It was very expensive for 2 veggie subs that were mostly just bread and lettuce. I ended up adding my own condiments at home because it was so dry. I would not return to this restaurant. It doesn’t come close to the quality of firehouse or Jimmy Johns.
Don't waste your money. Slow service, hard bread, nasty dry macaroni and cheese. Honestly you'd be better off getting one of those pre-made sandwiches from Kroger.
Jamel has been amazing, the food is well made and high quality. I have eaten here about 10 times in the last two months, and the consistency is what is remarkable.
Ordered through GrubHub was exactly what I ordered. Cookies were fresh sandwich was great!

I never want to leave reviews and especially bad ones about a place that I love… I’ve been going to Potbelly’s since there was only one location in Chicago and have always loved it. When they opened the location in Gainesville I’d get 20 sandwiches anytime I was coming back from DC. This particular store in Charlottesville should be shut down. I’ve been over 40 times and the issues are too numerous to mention. At one point I had taken friends there so they could try it and they had run out of bread and had purchased sub rolls from a near by grocery store?.. One of the greatest parts of the sandwich is their bread and I had to stop the guy. The hours are all over the place and the staff is constantly changing. There seems to be no real management or direction. They’re constantly out of bread, meat, soups or other offerings. Today they were out of ice cream, milk shakes, mac & cheese, White bread and soup at 3:00. I’m guessing the franchise owners are out of Richmond and didn’t realize they got sold in a horrible location and have suffered ever since. Either way, it’s they’re doing a disservice to the Potbelly’s brand and any other franchise owner. Shut it down, regroup and do better next time.
Deli items are underweight and management does not seem to care.
