One of the best Thai places I’ve eaten at! Amazing ambiance and a great selection to satisfy everyone.
The food was amazing but the service was the exact opposite. We had to wait 15 min after being taken our table for someone even offer us water and this was after I went over to the manager and complained about being ignored. My initial thought was they were obviously under staffed but then all the white people that came after us got instant service and a warmer reception. The blatant dislike displayed by the staff was not the worst part, the restaurant charges an automatic 20% tip to your bill and they don’t tell you about it. I am never gonna go back there again.
Amazing Thai food!! We're visiting Charlottesville, went for lunch, loved everything we ordered, fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. The service is great, too. Highly recommend!!

Monsoon Siam has the absolute best thai! I went to UVA and every time I come back they are my first stop. Spicy Eggplant is my favorite - but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and they use fresh, quality ingredients. The cocktails are delish too and the outdoor patio on a warm evening provides the perfect ambiance. Finally, just to demonstrate the holistic quality of this establishment. One time I made an online order on my way into town, but my flight was delayed past closing hours and they waited for me to pick it up!

This is my third time dining with Monsoon Siam. It is a beautiful restaurant with a cozy, warm dining room and a gorgeous dining patio. I have had the Massaman curry, pineapple fried rice, and beef pad Thai. The curry is consistently delicious with succulent chicken thigh, golden potatoes, and tomatoes that explode in your mouth with flavor. The pad Thai is fairly typical, although of higher quality. The pineapple fried rice is delicious, but each time I've eaten it there has been less and less pineapple, making a signature dish a letdown. The cleanliness and decor are both excellent. Bathroom cleanliness is 10/10 and it has a really cool sink. Would absolutely recommend, but ask for extra pineapple.
Food and facilities were great (basically a house converted to restaurant). Has outdoor seating with some heaters.Papaya salad was nice and light. Curry was tasty too. Crunchy spring rolls looked popular and many tables ordered.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in town! The food is delicious and it was ready very quickly. The servers were all friendly and attentive. My boyfriend and I have decided that this is our new go-to date spot! Highly recommend!
The food here is pretty good but they added a 20% tip automatically which is not advertised anywhere. They don’t tell you there is an automatic 20% tip and try to trick you into giving more on top of that. I have heard of minimum tips on large parties before and I normally tip generously, but it was just me and my wife and the tip wasn’t on the bill they handed us, they just sneak it in when they hand you the credit card machine. Very deceptive. We will not be going there again.Edit: And now to reply to my review with an outright lie is just crazy. The 20% tip was added already on the credit card machine by the waitress and could not be changed. The only option was to add 7, 3, or 5% on top of the 20%. I was never told or informed. The check that was brought to my table before the credit card machine had not 20% tip attached, the waitress put that in the CC machine before I had a chance to even touch it. Now that I have proof that you are lying I will contact my credit card company to let them know of your fraud.Edit-2: Now I just found out that while we were there they made a Facebook post that their staff had tested positive for Covid and did not tell any of their customers that were currently in the restaurant.
