Best coffee in Charlottesville… bold statement but you can taste how fresh the coffee is. Not burnt like other places

No selection, waffles were all burned, very overpriced, refused to sell a toasted bagel for my child at 6:10pm bc they stop making food after 6pm!!! The place is opened till 7pm, and there are no signs that kitchen closes at 6pm. Horrible service amd rude

I got a plain bagel with cream cheese and the iced honey cardamom latte. The bagel was somehow mushy and the cream cheese cam pre-packaged and was gritty. It was no New York bagel like they advertised. The coffee was fine but I wouldn’t order that flavor again it had an odd taste. I probably won’t be going back but the mini wine shop is nice.

I would much rather support an independent shop than a chain... the uniformity of Starbucks lacks appeal for me. I'm not saying I object to their experience per se, but a little shop with a beautiful brass espresso machine, porcelain cups, a unique flavor, and a nice assortment of fresh tasty pastries... It's an experience you can't regret nor forget. This is Charlottesville. If there is another town in Virginia that is meant to provide this experience, please tell me where it is.I don't know all the ins-and-outs in these parts, but this was my third stop and it came close enough. I won't go on about the other stops that couldn't win my affections.Milli Coffee Roasters. The roaster is in the front of the shop.Bonus points right off the bat.Small assortment of merch if you into that.Super nice folks. The coffee was good.I settled for a cortado in a paper cup.I'm not complaining about Milli; I wouldn't have gotten porcelain anywhere else.A town full of pastry makers and I couldn't find a croissant anywhere! Please don't ask how I came to this decision....grilled cheese with horseradish was as intriguing as one might imagine, just wasn't the right compliment or time of day.Go there for the coffee and WiFi.Compromise on everything else.We can hope for brighter days, porcelain and abundant pastry. In the mean time let's agree to blame it on a pandemic.

Good spot for tea/coffee and to work with standing desk, although the refrigerator is loud and distracting. Would recommend !

Place looked really cool, vibe seems nice, coffe smelled great. When asked if I could buy 3 lbs of beans as the barista at the counter told me I could: the roaster by the front door would not make eye contact nor acknowledge me when I asked for the beans. There had to of been hundreds of pounds of coffee beans, there was a scale next to him and bags within arms distance. With a fragile economy I’d be very nervous to let someone like this represent my business. I’m legitimately getting back on my motorcycle and going anywhere else local that will sell me coffee beans. Unfortunately Millis has lost my vote. Lose the roaster working on 3.3.22 at 5pm, and business may go up.

I regret waiting 9 months to stop in here! It always looks busy which is usually a good sign. Coffee was great and I impulsively got a waffle that was the perfect amount.

I loooove this place. I was a student at UVA and I would always come here for a late night waffle and some coffee when studying for exams. They have delicious waffles (my favorite is the specialty brie and apple, SO GOOD) and espresso drinks. The vibe is great, the staff is friendly and the location is convenient. Charlottesville has a lot of great local coffee shops but this one takes the cake!

Not the best experience, was ignored for a few minutes (I didn't expect to be helped right away, but acknowledging I was there would be nice) and I waited while they made the food for the 4 customers behind me in line before they made my cappuccino (which was good but not amazing). I was there for a while. And I swear the employee rolled his eyes at me when I said have a great day, whatever

Milli is the kind of business that makes me love living in a small town. Quality coffee and food. Creative and dedicated management. Friendly employees who treat their job as a craft. And an atmosphere that is somehow well suited to both cheerful conversations and quiet productivity. Charlottesville has a lot of great coffee shops. This is something else — the kind of place that welcomes you in and warms your heart as you pass through the threshold.
