We picked Miller's because it was open late in down town. The food was great and the service was friendly and fun. We sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere along with watching the people pass by. There were alot of bachelorette groups coming in and out of the building...it was good food, fun and interesting at the same time.
If I could I would give zero stars. Went there Sunday 6/05 ordered a pimento cheese dip with tortillas chips. Told the person that took my order I wanted it hot being I was doing a takeout. Never will I return to this establishment. For $10.34 I got a 3oz of lukewarm cheese. I’m pretty sure that I should have received a larger size because, had I had known it was that size they would have never gotten my money. The pandemic has not priced cheese so expensive that they serve that for the price that they are. I know being in the food service industry for the past 41 years. You have managed to loose another customer because there were only 6 people in the establishment. Guess I’m not the only person tired of being ripped off. And it was so sweet I had to throw it away,so it’s not like it’s the best and you can charge that price it was horrible.
Went here for “date night” with my sweetie while otherwise in town for UVA graduation festivities. Miller’s Downtown is a fun historic restaurant/bar/venue on the pedestrian mall in old downtown Charlottesville. Food is good, service is great, bourbon selection is solid, and there was a really good jazz trio playing the night we were there. Highly recommended. We stopped by briefly while killing time the next day and sat on the patio enjoying their mango iced tea — also great. In all, it was our favorite of the handful of places we dined at over the long weekend.
Quinn is a fantastic server, always friendly and great info about the beer and food. Try the Nashville hot chicken tenders or the corn-dogs.
Had the jalapeño peppers as appetizer, hot chicken and waffle and Dave’s Reuben for entrees. We love the little story they have for Dave’s Reuben on the menu and it was such good Reuben. I would even say that I love it more than the chicken tenders that everyone is so crazy about. Didn’t like the waffle—it’s fried and for me it’s too greasy.
Staff was great and the food was very goodHad to check this place out after all this is where my favorite band started DMBI would've like to see even just 1 picture of the band on a wall
This is a fun bar. We had Jack waiting on us and he was terrific. He was knowledgeable about whiskey and turned me on to a few I hadn't tried. It was fun and comfortable. No pretentiousness here. Stop in and enjoy.
Me and my partner went here late one night for some food. Waiter was very nice, and the meal came out quickly.I ordered the fried chicken woth a side of fries. Food was hot when it came out. Overall the food is pretty tasty and decently priced for what you get.Nothing entirely too special , but I would recommend and eat here again
It's a fantastic choose your own adventure bar. 1st floor typical restaurant bar atsomphere. 2nd floor more bar leaning that restaurant. 3rd floor total dive bar. Pool tables, dart board, thick cloud of smoke.
A small walk from nearby parking, dimly lit and well appointed dark wood bar with a scattering of similar tables gives off the warm, inviting pub vibes you'd want. Staff was welcoming and attentive, solid service without being overbearing. The whiskey selection is fantastic, genuinely. The food was a bit of a mixed bag, ambitious flavors that didn't marry well but great quality product. Overall a good experience without anything memorable.
