I have a lot of appointments at the VA Hospital, and this Cafe Corner Diner is the best place for me to go! It's affordable, and they have a wide selection of food. They're fast and responsive and the food is hot.
First time there. Very busy. Can't wait to bring wife here to eat
I ended up coming here out of the whim. My impression, it isn't bad. Not the worst, not the best, just right. Everything is priced right, and turnaround time for ordering takeout was fairly quick. The burger is just a basic cheeseburger nothing special. French fries are seasoned and fried perfectly. I also got the BBQ pulled pork, and that was actually pretty good. For the price I paid, I got a lot. I also asked for coleslaw, and was expecting it as a side, not in with the pork. My only con about this was that, I had to use a fork to eat it and not really like a sandwich because of how heavy it was. Not really a con though, is it lol.
the breakfast food was pretty darn good. nice customer service friendly considering I was able to get breakfast at close to 6:00 a.m. .
I came here on my lunch break for the first time because the Korner Restaurant is close to my work. The staff was cold and rude. I don't understand what the issue was because they were not busy that day all. I would no recommend this place if ur in the UVA area or maybe I just came on the wrong day?
Perfect greasy spoon diner. Ive had the corned beef hash and they grilled it, puts a nice crispy texrure on it. Eggs cooked perfect. I got a tomato with it. Really great service. Great prices.

just a good old fashioned working man's resteraunt a greasy spoon type of place, about 5 tables more counter space then tables, supplies come thru the front door and at 26 degrees it's cold at that first table.breakfast was OK eggs were done well at over medium sausage seemed like it was precooked and heated up and home fries over seasoned very salty but over all not to bad
Place is amazing, best breakfast in Charlottesville, highly recommend.
