I'm sorry to leave such a low rating, as it's really a cool store with some lovely products, but it is absolutely unconscionable for a grocery store not to accept EBT cards for payment. I will not support FOAN until that changes.

Really good selection, especially of coffee/tea. If I'm in the mood to make something "interesting," I can be sure that I'll find the "ingredients" at Foods of All Nations. Also, one time, I was buying some bulk tea (the Darjeeling - it's really tasty) and accidentally spilled a bunch of bulk tea in that aisle. We ended up with two full paper bags of bulk tea, and the cashier very gracefully said it was okay if we didn't want to buy both bags, which we didn't, because we aren't millionaires who can just flounce through Foods of All Nations buying as much bulk loose leaf Darjeeling as our hearts desire. We live in the world, and must abide by the constraints of the world, including our tea budget. Good store.

I waiting patiently as this lovely older lady was walking in the store in front of me just now. She was pitter flattering along slowly and talking with I assume was her caretaker. She stopped right in the doorway to say something to her, and her caretaker kindly mentioned to her, " I think we have someone behind us". I replied, "oh take your time, that's quite alright with me". Then the caretaker mentioned that this little lady is about to turn 103!!I said, "103!; may I take a picture with you? She replied, "Honey, please take a picture". Now we're both blocking the entrance lol, and she says... " let's get out of the road", and we take a few paces up and pose. Ladies and gentlemen meet my new friend Ms. Virginia Stokes.

I love Food of All Nation’s delicious, well made sandwiches to order that are made while you wait. They are very reasonably priced and a major lunch-hour weakness of mine. In terms of actually grocery shopping here, the prices are a bit up there, but the offerings are very unique and you won’t be able to find a lot of their international products at any other grocery stores. I hope Food of All Nations is here to stay as a Charlottesville staple.

Beautiful little store with a fun variety of products. In addition to food you get toys, flowers, a little bit of household goods, and public restrooms.

I enjoyed my shopping spree but they have the lights turned off in some areas and they need more lighting.

If you look for European snacks there is a good chance that you'll find it here. Besides snacks, they have 'normal' groceries and great bread ( from MarieBette bakery).

Best grocery store in Cville. Small, indie, and has loads of stuff you can't find at other stores.

Bakery to die for, very interesting grocery selections. First time I bought a meal to heat up at home, really terrible. I’m writing this because I was starving after a really really hard day and I counted on their reputation.

Wish we had a store near us like this. Great grocery store.
