The food is yummy good..The staff is pleasant.. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! We moved to this area a year ago and haven't found GOOD Mexican food until NOW! We have already eaten there many times in the few weeks we have moved to Hollymead. Their Guacamole IS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD!
Delicious carnitas! Huge portions. I have not had carnitas like this since Carnitas Uripan in San Diego and Tijuana! Husband had the flautas, which were freshly made.We had tried this place several years ago and were not impressed. We will be back much sooner after this delicious meal!
Good food, the place is always packed though and the tables don't have much room for big bellies....
My family and I often visit this fun restaurant and the food is good and priced well and also, they have a nice patio!

Food is ok…does not have that authentic taste. Not too greasy or salty. Services is there but does not follow thru when asked for something. Deco is good.
We WILL be coming back here! Delicious food! There is something on the menu for everyone - a lot of options. I would say the beer & wine options are average, as well as the mixed drinks (I'm not into margaritas), but I would have liked if the bar was able to provide a bit more variety (that would have been the 5th star). Overall, we were happy with our choice for dinner tonight! For a family of 3, we spent under $50.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I had a enchilada ranchero which had a tasty sauce with steak bits. The enchiladas had chicken. The rice was good. My wife had a chicken quesadilla. I gave her the lettace sour cream and tomato from my dish since hers was very plain. The chips were not real fresh but weren't stale. They were good. The salsa was good and spicy.
We like to go to Mexican restaurants and have been to quite a few in our travels. This place is at the top of the list for Charlottesville area. It is a quiet small family sized place. El Jaripeo is near us and I am very happy to say it is usually our first choice especially since covid. Reasonable price and portions. We have never had a bad meal or service. For a period we ordered takeout a couple time a month. I especially like their Chipotle chicken burrito. Ask for extra Chipotle sauce on it. Years ago I had a margarita there but not much tequila so I never bought another one. They may have changed.
