One of our favorite restaurants in town! Amazing southern food and a cozy homestyle atmosphere. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but breakfast is especially good. Their breakfast sandwiches can't be beat.
Hands down the best tater tots I have had in my life! Friendly staff and great food; family owned. Prices are very affordable as well. Would definitely come back again!Ordered several things but the best was the chicken and grits! I would come back just for that tots!

The absolute best fried green tomatoes in the region, bar none. Soaked overnight in buttermilk and made to order, there is a reason they often run out by dinner time.Oh, and the creative entrees are perfectly portioned (not supersized) and presented in a whimsical yet appealing way, with the barbecue sundae being a highlight. Everything is made with care and it shows.I live ~50 miles away but, as Michelin defines their first star, Croby's is worth the stop every time I head out on 64W.
Finally decided to try this place today after passing it for years. Those years were definitely wasted as this is the best food in Charlottesville hands down. The food is so good it hits you in the face with flavor. Wife actually just said “it should be illegal for food to be this good.” I will be coming back as soon a possible!
Highly recommend! Some of the best barbecue I have ever had. Delicious okra fritter cakes and pork rinds that came to the table still popping! We had a party of 6 and everyone had something different; it was all delicious. Friendly staff and a very welcoming environment. A+++++
Always great food! I have a long list of restrictions and when I reached out to ask about spices and such, they were so friendly. We wanted to go for lunch for his bday for the Dippen Max and Cheese. It’s so good. Pulled pork, pulled chicken, beans, pimiento cheese. I did pulled chicken, double side of cheesy grits. A must stop for brunch or lunch every time. The dad jokes on the wall are also awesome.
