The mole is to die for. If you want the best mole in Virginia, go here. They have authentic mole from Oaxaca which is the best you can get. The food was delicious, fresh, and presentation was amazing. The desserts were full of flavors and not too sweet. The drinks were mixed very well and the agua frescas were very well done. I would highly recommend this place, just make sure you make a reservation, since it is always busy. Amazing experience!!
Mediocre at best. We ordered several dishes and one bottle of wine. The service was good but the ambience under the tent was pleasant and better than sitting inside. The dishes came out in a weird order with some starters arriving at the table after the main courses. Then a dude, (the manager?) stopped by the table to mansplaine that the reason the appetizers arrived after the main courses was because we didn't tell the server that we wanted the appetizers first. The tamale was good and was the only thing that resembled mole sauce The shrimp was just meh? The stuffed avocado was tasteless and and couldn't decide if it was hot or cold. The Carnitas was dry and so salty nobody wanted to eat it. We're visiting from Los Angeles, so we've had good Mexican/Latin cuisine. Not worth the money.CORRECTION & RESPONSE: We had 1 (one) bottle of wine not 2 it was a typo. We did not have ANY alcohol prior to arriving. Shiny eyes are the result of double CATARACT surgery, where curved glass lenses are inserted to cover the cornea. So not a second bottle of wine. The response from the owner speaks for itself. It is not about the food, it resorts to insults, name calling and personal attacks about being a liar, a drunk and a racist. The misogynist TRIFECTA. And Yes, we would love to get our $140.+back
Conmolè is our absolute favorite restaurant in Charlottesville. We’ve been several times and have never been disappointed from the service to the flavor of every dish. Quality is top notch. Perfect place for both meat eater and vegetarians. The Caulifor is my personal fav and all the carne dishes melt in your mouth. Food, made with love. Also the drinks and atmosphere provide a perfect date night or intimate evening with friends. Thanks for being in Cville!!
Amazing Mexican food (5 stars), but why do they insist on store bought tortillas (1 star). It's like having a $75 steak with a flat store brand soda. They could easily do better. Using Milagro Tortillas would be a big step in the right direction.
One of the best and most distinctive restaurants in Charlottesville. The name says it all: almost everything on the menu has mole as a central element, and the joy of repeated visits to Conmole is tasting all the different moles, and the different ways they use them. A wonderful concept, executed to perfection. On top of all that, the space is charming, the service is congenial and efficient, and the cocktails are fun and delicious.
CONMOLE is absolutely fire! Obviously the mole negro is unreal (it’s in the name…) but the carnitas were some of the best I’ve ever had!
We had high expeditions and they were all met! Fabulous cocktails, wine suggestion was on point and the food was authentic and just the right amount of flavor and heat. Very pleased.
I cook A LOT. This place hands down beats anything I could make.Everything was amazing.We had tacos for appetizers, the ribs and the cauliflower.Margaritas were top notch.
Super cute place with great service! Food and drinks are delicious. The covered outdoor patio was perfect since the temp was nice, but it was drizzling out. I love the plants they have everywhere. Really cute inside too!
