1st time visitors... while on vacation. It was a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of good menu choices. Liked the little orchard salad. Very tasty. Little pricey but worth it to eat healthy. Wish they were in Ohio
Here is a nice place to talk a bit about my fast/local food views. In general, I always opt for local places, and living in charlottesville for the past 4 years, I have always let them take priority. But recently, I had chopt recommended to me, and though I still had an aversion to it because it was a chain, the glowing recommendation meant I had to make a pilgrimage here. Let me tell you, this place is really top tier for fast food, perhaps the best fast food place in charlottesville. There's a wonderful focus on health here that also comes with a surprising availability of vegan options that really makes me feel like I have some good options to choose between. The salad is a bit light, so if you are hungry and looking for dinner this might not be the place, but it's reasonably priced for a lunch, the Mexican Goddess a fantastic dressing and perhaps the best I've found since going vegan. TLDR: best fast food place in charlottesville, great for vegans, and come for lunch not for dinner.
Really good salads made the way you like them, not the way they think they should be. I had a chopped Cobb. Really good and fresh ingredients.
This is our default place to get food to go. I enjoy the Harvest Bowl. Whenever we've gone in, it hasn't been very busy. Could just be that we go during off hours, but we like it like that. I find, though, that they get my order right when I order online for pick up moreso than if I order inside to go. I don't mind it so much either way, but will probably stick to ordering online for pick up instead.
Fast service and great salad.

I eat at Chopt regularly. I love how clean it is. The manager, Johan, is passionate about providing quality product to his customer. He focuses on training his staff to do a great job and addresses any complaints quickly and resolves the issue. It’s my favorite salad place!
Never order in advance if you are planning to pick it up. Just show up and order. This is the third time we've done this and missed the time window. In the meantime, 10+ people have walked in, ordered their food and left. Why order ahead and be made to wait when you can just walk in, order, and leave?
