Café Frank is a really beautiful spot for a romantic dinner out. Although I was bummed that they were out of their morels, we ordered the burgundy poached egg w/ escargots. It was truly a unique dish with an interesting mix of ingredients, but it worked. We shared the crab cake and the duck leg and both were excellent. The crab cake was huge which is always nice considering the price of seafood. It was really crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside - perfect. The duck leg came with rice and figs in like a balsamic-type glaze and it was delicious - my favorite of all three dishes. Our server was great although they seemed a bit understaffed and busy. We weren’t in a rush though so it worked out. We’ll be back to try out the other dishes at Café Frank!
Place had great character. It was very busy and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. Great service. The food was excellent. Bartender was excellent. Great wine list. Gave us awesome recommendations and history of the area.Super clean. Highly recommend

This restraint has some of the highest quality food in Charlottesville it is honestly a reason it’s self to come to this town the staff is well trained and they nailed the atmosphere would absolutely recommend

An absolutely incredible dinner spot in Charlottesville with friendly and accommodating staff as well as amazing dinner entrees. My partner and I celebrated his birthday here this past weekend and it went way above our expectations! From the drinks all the way to desserts there was nothing we weren’t completely satisfied with. The steak was seasoned and marinated to perfection and cooked to the perfect medium rare, it was a decent sized piece of meat as well! Overall a 10/10 we will be returning very soon.
Really cool spot. Came here for dinner and don't usually eat this style of food. Our server did an excellent job walking us through the menu and we went with his reccomendations. Fried mushrooms were the best I ever had.
One of the newer restaurants in Charlottesville with a chef that has been in town previously. Cafe Frank has interesting food with great attention to detail. I've been three times and every dish was delicious.
Being the foodies that we are, we enjoyed one of the finest meals either of us have ever had. Quality, preparation of dishes and service were all 5 star. Be sure to make reservations and go in early to avoid a crowded restaurant.
Delicious and welcoming! Our party of 8 made a same-day reservation, and the staff happily accommodated us. Service, wine selection, apps and entrees were wonderful. The “icing on the cake”—so to speak—was the dessert selection! Beautiful and delicious. Great vibe in this place, too! Highly recommend.
