This is a review of conflict. On the one hand, we waited over 1 hour and a half for our food, which was a bit much. But on the other hand, the owner came out with nice rice cakes for us to eat while we waited. Secondly, the meal overall was fairly expensive, we got large portion sizes but it felt like you couldn't really get out without spending a fair bit of money. Perhaps most importantly, while my crispy tofu had a lack of flavor that i should have expected, the fried rice my friend got was aggressively under flavored, the worst fried rice meal I've ever had in my life.

One of the most underrated spots in Cville. Bento bowls are delicious and authentic. Husband and wife service is a little more scattered than other places but I view it as part of the charm.

Delicious and authentic Taiwanese. Portions were good and owner was nice.

Tastes great!! My favorite was the popcorn chicken :)

Good food. Try this for something different the American Chinese food

My favorite dish is the popcorn chicken. It’s delicious. Ordering over the phone can be challenging but it’s totally worth it!

Authentic and affordable Chinese food here. It was my last memory before I left Charlottesville for work. Definitely would recommend to my friends.

Great food, large portions and good prices. Crispy fish over rice never fails to deliver and the scallion pancakes make a great combo with the sauce that comes with the fish. One of my favorite places to eat in Charlottesville.

Food is decent - not as flavorful as I would have expected, but they at least give you a good portion for what you get. I got the Kung Pao chicken combo and the orange chicken combo. The combo comes with eggplant which is DELICIOUS - sweet and savory- and was probably the best thing on the plate. The orange chicken wasn’t the syrupy sweet kind you might get from another Chinese food restaurant. It tastes like they use actual orange essence to flavor the chicken - it’s subtle and not overpowering. There was a wide variety of things on the menu to try, so I will likely be going back to try something different. Would recommend if you’re in the area. Cant sit inside but there are a couple tables outside to sit if you want to say. I would recommend ordering ahead because it took a long time for the food to cook.

No Frills just good food. You can even order really authentic ethnic dishes if you can read the native language
