Hey, L M - I think I can help clear up some confusion. You may have noticed that Bodo's advertises themselves as "New York style bagels." That's because their bagels are done with the traditional New York City twist: there's a hole in the center! Great bagels and unmatched customer service :)
Some of you may know me as the man who visited the other Bodo’s and found holes in the bread. Well, I’m back folks. Another round of Bodo’s adventures and this place has holes in their bread too. A single circular hole in every slice. What? Again, the food is delicious, so it’s a 5 stars from me. But I’m starting to think someone is playing a trick on me and my wife. Why do the breads have holes in them everywhere?? Is it a Charlottesville tradition? We’re new and confused.
Really cheap bagels and they are good! I got the tuna salad sandwich and it was delicious. Under $6
We were there when it was super busy, a line going out the door and down the street. But, they kept the line moving fast. They had it down to a science behind that counter. Keeping things moving very fast and efficient. I was impressed. Order was correct, food was hot, very good bagels. All your employees do a great job.
Great bang for your buck. Plus, the food is great. It’s a Charlottesville institution. Even when it’s busy you don’t end up waiting too long. Pictured: Bacon, egg, and cheddar on everything.
There is no better place to get bagels! The food price is very reasonable and the wait is extremely short! Plus, the food is absolutely delicious!

Just read the the Bodo's employees want to Unionize. That is Great ! I'm union member since 1973 .Great benefits, sick days, holidays and Job Security !!! Also, as Union members , they can't be jerked around by the mgt at will. That would be all Bodo's employees in Local 400. There is strength in Unity !!! AND management Better Not try to penalize those who are organizing the membership !!!!!!!!!
One of the best bagels that I have ever had. Just like Ny y bagels . They don't toast . Every bagel comes out perfectly hot. Loved it!
Fresh warm bagels. Expensive but worth the money. 2 lox with cream cheese on everything. Bagels aren’t toasted due to them being freshly made. No capers but had onion, lettuce and tomato. Very busy establishment. Small black ice coffee. Will revisit. Friendly staff.
