For Charlottesville, the pizza really ain’t that bad! Love the interior of the place
We love coming here when we are in town! They have hige slices of pizza for $5!
Size isn’t comfortable to eat, everything falls off. Taste is cardboard plus sauce. Nice people there though.
Great for parties... but make sure you have room to put the enormous boxes in your car. My teenagers love it! The pizza is pretty delicious and one giant slice is enough for me!
Pros: fastCons: It's just a cheese pizza pre-made and they sprinkle your meat on top and throw it in the salamander for a minute. You get it home and try to eat it and the meat falls off. Very disappointed.
WOW this place has gone downhill. The door is missing and there's just a piece of plywood instead. Handwritten sign showing hours that are drastically cut from before - now they close at 8pm, earlier than most places around. Upon opening the door at 7:45 I see at least 6 people just hanging out both behind the counter and sitting at the seats at the counter. One person behind the counter immediately says "we're out of slices" in a tone that was a clear "get the f out." No hello or sorry. As soon as I leave someone walks to the front and turns out the lights (before the handwritten sign's closing time) Sad because i used to really like this place.
Slices were big and fresh. Lighting inside could be a bit brighter for safety reasons. Needs more parking and snow needs to be shoveled cause you know. Safety.
Needs a revamp inside, but comfortable. Great prices on beer, sodas, staff was kind and friendly. Always impressed at the special and monthly pie toppings.Take a pocket knife - cut the box down after everybody eats, otherwise it won't fit in the trunk! Great fix if you were a fan of Georgetown jumbo slice back in the day.Still no ordering online, but phone orders are prompt. Usually takes about 20 mins unless they get backed up. Will be back.
So, being from the Fredericksburg area, we have a Benny’s (Yes, these are a chain, each with a different variant of the name “Benny”) and I’ve been several times to try to eat there, but each time there’s nowhere to sit and I’m not getting it to go, so I left. So, when I walked past this location and saw no one inside, I stopped in for a $4.50 slice of cheese pizza to finally say that I’ve tried their pizza. I was very happy with the crust, it was very “NY” for sure! The pizza itself was dry, as it had half the amount of sauce it really should have had on it. Cheese was decent. Service was great, the two guys working the night I went were great! Friendly and helpful! Overall, I could see coming back here next time I’m in town and want pizza… I’m still not waiting to eat at the one in F’burg though and frankly could careless about a place the generates popularity by creating hype and delay over the ability to eat inside (in other words, expands the dining room at that location)… But as for this location – great experience!
Respectfully I do not understand the appeal of these slices. Other than the size, my two slices had five pieces of pepperoni and sausage respectively and little sauce. The bread has good chew and the bottom has a good texture. Feels like I paid for a lot of bread and little else. Maybe I happened to visit on an off night.
