I cannot recommend Monali and Gaurang’s food highly enough! Every single item is delicious and has that perfect home cooked taste. I especially recommend the dal dhokri, bhendi and kachoris. And the soft fresh poli. And all so efficiently managed.
An awesome find. Really home cooked meals with perfect oil and spices. The tiffin deserve more than 5 stars. I'm glad that we found and tried mirch mantra.
The food is very tasty and has a very authentic/home made feeling. Its made fresh every day and we love the tiffin concept. In brunch we love the khasta kachori that are available on the weekends. The chef/owner is very nice and we can tell she puts a lot of love and effort in the preparations.

First of all, I am so glad to find this home-cooked tiffin service which caters to Marathi style. I have been looking for Maharashtrian/Marathi-style food in Northern Virginia for a long time.The food items you will get here, most of them you find in any other restaurants. All Sprouts Bhajis/Sabjis, Rajma, Vada Pav, Misal Pav, different Dals, Chapathis very tasty and yummy. Everything I tried I liked a lot. Food reminds me of the home-cooked food I had been eating while growing up.The cook Monali herself is very nice and friendly. Sometimes she offered me extra sides free of cost. Both owners we met so far are very friendly and always happy to welcome and assist you. Overall great service and I would recommend and keep going there. Amazing food. Fresh and Eco friendly.Best tasting homemade Indian vegetarian food in NoVA.I discovered their website two weeks before I actually got the opportunity to get their food. I came across it when I was looking to order dinner one evening. But no, I couldn't get one. Had to order between 10-1 pm. So, I forgot about them for a while.So, I finally walked in one day between that time to order lunch. I still couldn't get my hands on their food. But Monali was friendly and helpful in explaining their process.I learned that brunch has to be ordered beforehand and I could order dinner now via the website. I returned home with one amazing Ginger Turmeric milk from the Elaichi Tea part of the restaurant, determined more than ever to order and taste the ever elusive food.I collected my food that evening, and I've been doing so for many evenings ever since.The food and the rotating menu and the quantity is great !!Freshness and nutrition in every bite.Initially, I was not that enthusiastic to try the tiffin Dabba. I've gotten used to the convenience of disposables and felt lazy to return it. Thought of it as an additional responsibility. ( they do supply food in disposable for an additional fee though. 2$ or something)But now, I'm really happy that I tried the Tiffin Dabba system. I started dining in at restaurants despite Covid, because almost all of the Indian restaurants stuff scaldingly hot food directly into cheap plastic boxes. I was really concerned. Didn't have a choice.But now I do. There's less waste. And also I feel more happy about not adding to that pile of climate changing, planet killing plastic.1. Open their website from 10 to 1(For some reason, can't order on my laptop as the payment page doesn't let me enter the card details.)2. Order dinner.3. Pick-up between 6-7:304. EAT & REPEAT !!It's wholesome !
The meal is awesome and tasty. We took the biodegradable packing one. It was sufficient for 2 person dinner. I and my wife we really enjoyed this home cooked Indian food after a long time. The dessert was also tasty. Gulab Jamun is also very fresh and good. Highly recommend this place to fellow Indians
This is true homemade food with a business like efficiency. They really care about the environment, and they answered all my questions about the ingredients honestly and upfront. They were responsive to my questions and concerns. I wish they were closer to me but it is still worth it for me to drive and pick up the food than to go to restaurants that are closer. Definitely recommend!
Our family has been ordering food from Mirch Mantra for some time now and we absolutely love it! The quality of the good is fresh, homemade and authentic. Since this is a Tiffin concept, the pick up place is exceptionally clean and hygienic. We would recommend anyone looking for genuine service, and quality vegetarian food to try Mirch Mantra!
