Tried the food for my first time, I was so excited. I ordered and when they told me the total it was about a $20 difference . I was so confused, finally got the courage to ask and found out that the prices hadn’t been updated for a while. When told them they pretty much said, too bad so sad. Food itself was okay, not amazing. For the price, quality and taste should be better.
This is very recently opened cafe I have ordered a food wasn’t that good. I did not have feel like am I eating chicken? or something else. That was my experience with Kirin cafe so I don’t recommend someone to this place..! Poor
Best Chinese food in the area by far. Frequent patron for over a decade
LOL we moved 2 1/2 years ago. Before the fire. I ordered chinese the night we moved into our new townhouse (2 mins down the road). So the address should have be changed in the system, but of course wasn't. Although I ordered a few times after that it’s actually the best tasting Chinese food in the area (which isn’t saying a lot) if you can stand the nasty attitude from the wretched owner lady. Anyways, when ordering I regave our address and confirmed our order looking forward to good Chinese… after waiting an hour i called and was told it’s on the way. Hour 20 mins now still on the way. On the third call I’m at an hour and 40 mins I’m told it was delivered to my old address and it’s my fault. When I asked for a refund the lady told me she remembers me because I always order extra sauce and not to order from there anymore! Lmao sent my husband to get us zaxbys and she really sent a man over to pick up the food that’s been sitting out side for god only knows how long! I’ve worked in restaurants my entire life, my husband used to own one. Bacteria had been building on that food for I don’t even know how long. Disgusting. Can’t trust this lady. Calling Health Department - once food leaves premises and it’s placed on the ground in front of someone else’s door it should never be fought back into the restaurant.
So glad they are back! Absolutely delicious family meal last night, and wonderful leftovers, too! We have missed you!
UPDATE FEB-2022: They had a fire about a year ago and I am happy to report that they are back open and better than EVER!In the 12+ years that I have been frequenting Kirin Asian, I have YET to have a dish that wasn't just awesome. Try the eggplant in garlic sauce, the kung pao chicken, crispy beef, pork lo mein, enh.....anything really. You're mouth will thank you.

We really live this place, and order regularly. So sad that they had a fire and are temporarily closed. The owners have assured us that they will be reopened as soon as the repairs are completed.We usually order 2-3 times per month, and love the dishes. Our favorites are Mooshoo Pork and Sesame Chicken. We like to try something new every time, and have had some really great surprises.
Placed an order from here and found a worm in food and called back and lady was being really rude and just hung up never getting food from here again service is horrible
Kirin Cafe is by far the worst Chinese restaurant in the South riding area, they have a system in place for especially a horrible customer service, I have ordered from them 4 times and they have never failed to give bad service. There are many other Chinese restaurants in the area you should check out, because they don’t respect their customers nor do they deserve our business.
