Would have been a 5-star review. Food seemed good, service was good, open late was really handy...But they swapped the orders for regular pancakes and the "gluten friendly" pancakes. The one in our group with the allergy was violently ill all night long.
I called two days in advance for a reservation at 9:45am of a party of 16. Management failed to communicate to the staff. We arrived and were met with confusion. We finally were seated at about 10:30. Yoseth and Martina were awesome and made the best of a bad situation for us. The service was extremely backed up due to a Muslim holiday and restaurant was short staffed. Two things for Management: Better communication and stay up with Holiday calendar.
Horrible stood 15 minutes at the single which stated please wait to be seated, then walkes over to the only empmyee there ask should seat ourselves. Once he said yes seat yourself we had to pick up our own silverware and place mats, we then sat for 20 more minutes and as he nave came to take our order we left. There were only 2 tables no busy at all and there was a few people also waiting to be seated who walked out with us.
It's the first time I have been here since they remodeled. The look inside feels fresh and modern. The food was delivered hot from the kitchen and our server kept our coffee full.
Amazing food, and a friendly server... until she wanted a bigger tip. Then, she was complaining repeatedly about it and then told us to not come back. It'd do some good for them to remember that sometimes what is provided is the best someone can do.
I base my rating across weekly visits across many years: I enjoy most items from their entire menu. Omelettes, pancakes, BLTs, pot roast or turkey platters, and even their burgers and T-bone steak at a decent price! Newly remodeled with lots of parking and a tenured crew who always has a friendly greeting. I especially like their cheese steak with onion rings coupled with very good milkshakes! We usually come on "senior nights" (Wednesdays 2-9 pm) which is half off the entire bill for senior patrons only. Great discount for sure! This includes a cookie or ice cream to finish your meal. An occasional order prep issue across MANY dozens of meals has ALWAYS been promptly corrected to our complete satisfaction. This Chantilly location is the best of all the IHOPs I have ever ate at including the Centreville one which doesn't impress. The staff here does pretty good at keeping up with the weekend crowds and the food is consistently good regardless of day or time. The menu is quite varied for a "pancake place" and the prices are fair. Couldn't ask for more! ???
Amazing place to go to even if you crave late at night. The store is open 24/7. The store is clean and the employees are really nice. The food are delicious and reasonable price. Steak is nicely done. Pancakes, omelette and sandwiches are great too. The kitchen manager is kind and soft spoken. I salute those servers at night who are still very nice even if it’s so late. Their service is excellent. These people deserve a nice pay and nice tip too.

Usually always a good experience - quick service and good food. Recently my to go order was missing some items but I called and they were able to rectify the situation.
Visited this place on Christmas day. Service could have been faster. Took a while for the food to come. Seemed like they were overwhelmed. Our server was polite and otherwise helpful though.
