My wife and I got two different beef dishes, Hunan beef and beef and vegetables. They tasted almost identical. The only highlight of both of them was how fresh and crisp the vegetables were, but the beef was mushy and the sauce was just very generic beef and vegetables sauce. The egg rolls provided with the lunch special were crispy and good, but incredibly oily. Not the worst Chinese food that I've ever had, but I definitely will not be ordering from here again.
We go here for only two dishes: Singapore Chow Mei Fun and Egg Drop soup. Get their chili oil as well to drizzle over the Chow Mei Fun. Best Chow Mei Fun in the area! The reason for the 3 star review? Well I have tried a few other dishes and i didn't like them. So overall a 3 star place but their Singapore Chow Mei Fun deserves 5 stars!
Great small business to support if you're looking for good food and fast service! Had the egg rolls, shrimp lo mein and pepper beef (subbed out for shrimp). Egg rolls were light and crispy and made with a thinner wrap which I prefer over the typical wrap which is thicker and harder. Lo mein was saucy and not as oily as other places. Pepper shrimp was yummy, veggies were fresh and had a nice bite.
The owners are super sweet. Food was really flavorful and not overly oily like most places. Will definitely be back!
I got shrimp fried rice and general Tao’s chicken. The rice had no flavor at all had to add soy sauce. The chicken was light on flavor and had a couple of pieces that tasted under cooked. The egg roll were tasty though.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful dining experience at Hunan Village in Chantilly. WE WILL GO BACK AND HOPEFULLY BECOME REGULARS. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options, but what made our lunch experience OUTSTANDING was the SERVICE! As a large person of color who has eaten at a number of restaurants in rural areas over the years, where I am looked at with suspicion the moment I hit the door, THIS WAS QUITE NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT. The waitress was quite welcoming and made us feel most comfortable and relaxed. We were not rushed and were even served hot green tea that was not on the menu, when asked if there was a drink option that did not have sugar! We were quite “tickled and intrigued” by the sign on the front door that reads, “EAT HEALTHY, NO MSG ADDED, LOW SODIUM-SALT, NO CANNED VEGETABLES, NO MICROWAVE RECIPES FOOD”. What??? Chinese restaurants use canned vegetable in their stir-fried dishes? And microwaved food? Who knew??? A big THANK YOU to the staff at HUNAN VILLAGE for a most pleasant dining experience. And again, the food was really GOOD TOO. Looking forward to going back, again and again and again!
Based on good review here I decided to try and I ordered 3 typical dishes; kung-pao chicken, broccoli beef and twice cooked pork. They were just average.
This specific Hunan Village is always efficient and has a very friendly, time worthy staff! Oh, the food is wonderful as well!
Their food is flavorful and vegetables always fresh. Service is excellent and to go pick up is always a good option and fast. The owner is friendly and nice.
very bad experience, booked a table of 10 to dine in. Had pre ordered my food to save time. When I reached the restaurant at 21.05 they had packed my food in take away boxes and said we can't dine in as they will be closing soon.Closing time for the restaurant states 22.00. Very poor customer service, never been so badly treated, very unprofessional and rude.ResponseSo you close at 9.30pm for argument sake, no reason why you still did not allow your customers sit down and eat.
