I have no clue on earth why this place has good reviews. We came here two weeks ago and the first thing we noticed was trash everywhere by the entrance from the neighboring businesses.Walked in on Friday at 5 and no one was there - bad sign. Service was friendly but the food I can only describe as “cafeteria Mexican day”. Rice had no flavor, everything was just super bland. To top it off there was this lady blowing balloons inside and she wouldn’t stop talking to us while we ate.There are tons of other great places to get Mexican food in this area - avoid this one.
What a pleasant experience. Good food. Fresh and served quickly. Would definitely come again. What is there not to like?

I wish there were 10 stars for this place! It’s a family owned business but many of the staff have been there since we’ve been coming…12 years! They are always so friendly and even better, the food!! Always fresh and truly the best Mexican food I’ve had in the DMV. They also have Kids Night which is nice as we have two 12 and under and they eat for $1 each plus have the entertainment of balloons and painting etc. El Fresco also has outdoor seating on the beautiful patio at their new Chantilly location. If you haven’t met the owner, Steve, do so! He’s so friendly and always there working alongside his staff. I’d recommend my favorite but there’s too many????
I got a flyer in the mail and decided to try them out. I must say I was highly disappointed. The food had no flavor what so ever. No seasoning, no spice, the rice was plain tasting. The best thing was the black beans and they don’t need much. Also the grilled tomatoes tasted good. The chicken was dry I thought I’d choke. I gave the benefit of the doubt since I guess they are very new and may be overwhelmed. But I am not pleased.
Clean, friendly staff, delicious food, good prices. Wonderful music - what more could you ask for? I've been here twice for the lunch special and love this place. Will be back for sure.

A definite meh. There's nothing wrong with the place but I found the flavors were just too boring, even the salsa isn't hot (no matter which one). As a last resort I'd go here but with all the choices in the area I likely won't be back.
Totally blown away!!! Absolutely a must. Jessica was wonderful helping me decide on what to go with. We tried quessadillas and street corn. Don't be fooled, it was legit. We got one with chicken and one with shrimp and a side of queso as well. Everything was delicious and we had trouble finishing it. Will totally be back again soon.
El Fresco is near and dear to my heart. For the last eleven years I have come here for lunch with friends and family. The food is so fresh and delicious every single time! The lunch specials are on point, and do not break the bank. I recommend trying something new every time you stop by, I myself have recently picked up this mindset and wow! From chicken tortilla soup, Mexican pizza, to chimichangas. So come out and support this local small business. Kicks taco bells butt everytime!!!
