not very good food. First time and the last time for this restaurant. The satay chicken very bland and untasted, the flat noddle full with soy sauce, the meat and veggies with no flavor, the sticky rice came with a very oily dipping coconut milk or what ever it was not good and the oolong chicken is not a favorite, just the white rice thumbs up. I paid $100 for 6 dishes waisted money, better the Thai food around.
I went for a quick solo lunch on a Thursday, and there was only one other group dining in. There were quite a few takeout orders though. Service was quick and attentive. I ordered the Vegetarian Curry Laksa Noodle Soup with tofu, which was not too spicy, flavorful, rich and full of a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. I especially loved that their menu has a picture of every item, which is so helpful when you have a large menu and many great options to pick from. If I lived closer, I would be a regular here! Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely place!
The nasi lemak was as good as any I’ve had in Malaysia. The service is friendly, and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. And everything was reasonably priced. Given how few people were there at lunch time, I’d call this place a “hidden gem” for sure!
Great authentic and unassuming Malaysian eatery. Everything we ordered were fresh and delicious!
Amazing food and service. If you’re used to spicier food then ask for a spicy sauce because it comes a bit mild.
Great menu items for 2022 lunar new year celebration
My favorite spot in the area for flavors of home: I love the Char Kway Teow (Fried rice noodles with shrimp, egg, chives & beansprouts) & Curry Yong Tofu Noodle Soup (Noodles with fried tofu, crispy beancurd skin, eggplant & jalapeño stuffed with fish puree & beansprouts in curry broth).
Malaysian Kopitiam took me back to Kuala Lumpur which was home to me for 3 years and still is one of my favorite places to live in and best food ever that you can have!!I’ve ordered from here a few times for take away and never disappoints and I wanted to go and have the Fish head curry at the restaurant. The food was amazing!! Authentic and best you can find in the DMV area. The roti canai, fish purée bean curd, fried rice, fish head curry and salted egg prawns are a few items we had and all were super tasty!!We will keep returning and also will keep ordering take out too!!Everytime I miss KL will visit Malaysian Kopitiam
Great authentic and unassuming Malaysian eatery. Everything we ordered were fresh and delicious!
I love this place. I used to live in Singapore for years and this restaurant reminds me exactly of what the food there tasted like. Laksa and fish mee hoon are my all time favorites. If anything, I wish that Malaysian Kopitiam offers the Singaporean Carrot Cake (dark/white) because that is one of my all-time favorites.
