This is the only place in the DC Virginia area that does proper and authentic cheese donkatsu to perfection. The only similar level place we have found is in Korea and Japan. Also the owners and staff are always friendly. We travel almost an hour to dine here. A relatively new place that will no doubt continue to be successful.

I came here on a pretty hot day with a couple of friends - I was craving some cold, refreshing soba noodles and I saw that Kazone had some on their menu. I had also not been here before so I wanted to try Kazone out and experience it. My friends and I ordered 4 items on the menu and here are my opinions of them below:\\n\\nSoba Noodles - Cold, refreshing, tasty and filled my craving for cold noodles on a hot, near-summer day. It came with some assorted veggies that complemented the dish nicely.\\n\\nCheese Katsu - Crunchy, filled with warm Mozarrella Cheese - overall very enjoyable. Came with 2 sauces on the side as well as rice and and salad.\\n\\nChashu Donniri - Probably the most filling of the dishes we ordered, it had chashu (pork seasoned in soy sauce/sugar mix) with a layer of eggs and rice.\\n\\nUnagi Donburi - Grilled eel with unagi sauce, with a layer of eggs, over rice. I love eel so I definitely try to order it every chance I get. We received several pieces of very tender eel that were pretty tasty.\\n\\nOverall, I enjoyed the food - it was tasty - and the wait staff was attentive. It might be because of inflation, but the items on the menu were all pretty expensive - and the portions somewhat conservative. The cheese katsu only had 4 pieces, which isn't too filling for one dish, and hard to justify at the given price point. Similarly, the other dishes were a bit pricy for the given portion size, other than the Chashu Donniri. Also, I found it weird that the water comes out halfway filled.

Amazing!!!! One of the best restaurants in the area, hands down. Katsu is a very difficult dish as everything has to be done perfectly. The meat needs to be fresh and cut not too think or too thick. Panko must be fresh. Cabbage needs to be shredded right before serving. And much more. Kazone nailed all areas. Everything was spot on perfect, including the very friendly and attentive staff. You’ll feel like you have been invited over to a good friend’s house for home cooked dinner. If you like homemade katsu, go for it. I promise you will not be disappointed….\\n\\nP.S., you can tell how seriously a cook takes their food by their rice. Again spot on. The rice was amazingly fresh and super delicious, plus came with just the right of furikake sprinkled on top.

Do you like Korean/Japanese food? If so, you came to the right spot! Kazone's atmosphere is trendy and heartwarmingly welcoming. I stopped by recently to grab some drinks and food. They welcomed me, and the staff was super friendly. I ordered happy hour drinks and corn cheese with chicken katsu, but both were terrific. The corn cheese had right about to seasoning, and cheese was melting every bite. The chicken katsu was super tender and had great texture and the sauce complimented the dish. I also got to meet the restaurant owner, who asked for my feedback. Let's just say I will be returning very soon for happy hour and delicious food.

I love tonkatsu so had to try out this place. We got curry katsu and cheese katsu (not pictured). The quality of pork was superb! It was just pure meat and no fat at all. The pork was really fresh. I liked how the fried crumb portion was just 1% and the rest of 99% was all fresh high quality meat. I was not cool with the price before eating but it is worth every penny. The cheese in cheese katsu was not greasy but was really good too. It seems like they use really high quality ingredients across the board. Look forward to frequenting this place.\\n\\nOne last thing to mention is that the owners are really nice.

Great new spot! The ramen was flavorful and really good portions. The cheese katsu was amazingly delicious! We are excited to see how the menu expands after the soft opening.

Kazone is Amazing! One of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. Highly recommended, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Finally a legit tonkatsu spot in Centreville! Crispy breading outside with melting cheese inside is yummmy in my tummmyyy~~ will have to add ramen ? to the list next time since other reviews are raving about it! Nice little cozy spot with comfort food… draft beers a big plus ??

The BEST katsu and ramen I have ever had. Not only is the food great but the restaurant is extremely clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. Service is great and my overall experience was amazing. Will be back!

Cozy and clean. Shrimp potato is my favorite appetizer. This is a new restaurant and they work really hard to make it into your favorite fusion donkatsu restaurant. And oh yeah the service was really nice and friendly too.
