While in the area and in he mood for a light breakfast and coffee, I stopped in to Jireh. This is a cool, old house which was turned into a bakery and coffee shop. They offer breakfast (full breakfasts, like omelets to sandwiches) and coffee and treats. Service was very friendly. I saw that their breakfast sandwich is made on your choice of 5 different breads and asked the cashier which was best, she suggest white and I went with it. The sandwich was made promptly, it was fresh and hot and made with fresh egg. The bread was awesome! Nice, thick and lightly toasted, it worked perfectly on this egg & cheese sandwich. The Americano I got to go with it was on-point! Great flavor, fresh beans ground up for that espresso and very enjoyable. I really enjoyed the rustic, old house vibe with the filament bulbs too! I picked up a couple baked treats to go to try later on. Definitely would return when in the area!
My review is for their baked goods and service only. I did not eat their breakfast platters. It is a strange looking Korean bakery. I have been visiting many Korean bakery shops but this is a different for sure. It is located in a busy intersection which makes new customers hard to visit. Normally, Koreanbakery means, either one of the famous franchises or looks very modernized shop (big glass windows everywhere). Jireh is a different.Their service is attentive and may not look friendly at first. If you talk to them, they will talk to you and try to do above and beyond for you. This bakery reminds me like a rural local bakery in Korea. Not fancy and still competing with big franchise bakeries. Cakes finish looks rough and some pastries may a bit dry but this is the bakery brings my nostalgic memory about Korea and still provide attentive and friendly service. Here are tips:- Service: not chatty but attentive- Food: can be below average or above average depending on baked good and where you from- Location: it is hard to get there- Parking: plenty and free of charge- Restroom: it has rest rooms
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and we're pleasantly surprised to find lots of choices in pastries! Everything looked delicious. We grabbed some coffee. My vanilla latte was a little sweet but tasted great.Looking forward to going back and trying more drink choices and the pastries too!
One of my favourite places for lunch, pastry, and caffeine (or smoothie) type beverages. An amazing selection of American breakfast and lunch meals, as well as some Asian items. The baked goods, as well, have a broad selection of Asian and European items. As a vegetarian, I'm glad there are several vegetarian options for both lunch and breakfast. Please don't be turned off by the apparently quiet and retired manner of the staff. They're just focused and somewhat shy. I just had their tofu pesto sandwich today!
Disgusting place, don’t be fooled by the new photos and new fake reviews. This place is absolutely disgusting and awful. Horrible customer service, bad/old food, smells horrible, dirty bathrooms. A guy literally found a cockroach in his coffee drink and the new management tried to hide it by posting fake photos of gourmet meals and coffee. This place needs to be sued and shutdown. Seems like they’re making money off their old name from the old management and still have people being fooled.
Don't judge a book by its cover! You'll probably drive on Lee Hwy not noticing this little hidden gem. A two-story cafe is a perfect place to study, work, and hang out. They have unique pastries, and they are amazing. Their food is very good as well.A nice and cozy cafe is also kid-friendly; everyone was so nice and accommodating with my orders for kids.Free parking is available on the side of the building.
This is a cute little place: however, our experience here was terrible. I asked for a black tea drink and they gave me a cafe latte. When I went to the counter to tell her what I ordered, she kept insisting me that I ordered the cafe latte. On top of that, we waited almost 20 mins on plain French fries. (When my boyfriend asked about the French fries one of the other girls rolled her eyes at him.) They must of forgot our food because others behind us were getting their hot meals before us. Will not go here again.
Classic, cute coffeeshop in Centreville. Great place to meet up. Casual, chill vibes with really nice decor.Great options for: sandwiches (try the Tofu pesto!!!), bubble tea, coffees, pastries (their cakes are amazing!).
Handicapped accessible. The employees were friendly, the food was as expected, but at 4:00 nearly everything was “breakfast items” which is ok, except as a former waitress at multiple resturants — I know it’s not difficult to cook eggs up in the afternoon.Sandwiches were good, but the desserts tasted stale. Seems like more of a coffee and “go” place.PS: lowered my rating because I’m pretty sure the macaroons had gone bad — not tasty at all.
Pass the place daily. Always wanted to stop in. So I did on Sunday. Wasn’t to busy. Good selection of bakery treats and coffee. We bought some treats and coffee which were all alright. I love supporting local businesses. But when you don’t feel welcome or appreciated, doesn’t really make you want to return. Owner/employee seemed bothered. And the lady making the drinks was not having a good day. No, thanks or anything. And on top of that the location is horrible, good luck on trying to get out of the parking lot. I won’t be back.
