I went there with my family. I wanted to try the beef tartare that were in videos I saw and it tasted better than I expected. The raw meat was flavorful and the pear complements the raw beef. The meats on the BBQ were also good. Would recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service and top-notch quality meat. The steak tartare was perfect. Loved the thick cut pork belly, and the large intestine was a surprise when cooked to a crispy brown nugget of deliciousness.

Really good cuts of meat and the beef tartare (육회) was super good! Service was good. I'd come back for the ribeye!

I checked this out for date night and the food was excellent. It was one of the more affordable Korean BBQ options around and for the quality, it was a great bang for the buck! The owenrs even came and cooked a special fried rice with Hamago, spicy sauces, and several other toppings. They even shaped it like a heart as we were on a double date. So if you like Korean BBQ, run, dont walk to Gopchang Story!

I wanted to like place but so many things need to change. First it's way too cold in there. People sitting near the door will freeze before the food comes out. The staff is friendly. Not to the food. The gop Chang is like chewing a tire. They don't give free soup with your order. So we ordered a kimchi jigae. I can tell right from the begining the kimchi they used was not ripe. You can't make kimchi jigae w unripe kimchi. We returned it and they brought another one out but I can taste lots of kochujang. The food is really bad here. Also the bowls of rice is half full . Cheap

Assorted intestine gui was enjoyable but the marinated beef entrails was ok. We didn’t like the marinate sauce. While the fried rice was good but it was really heavy. The gui comes with 3 kinds of dipping sauces; salt, spicy and soy based. Simple salt was best and the soy & vinegar (?) was second. It seems to cut for heaviness of gopchang. The server was helpful, explaining steps and prompt service. The service during my second visit was very slow. Even though the restaurant was only half full.

I came here when it just opened up, can I just say it's nice there's a place my fiancé can come eat late at night without having to make the drive to Annandale! The atmosphere is really great, and most importantly the food! It's soooo good, price is definitely there but it's worth it you can taste the quality in the good and the chefs in the back make the food look so aesthcially pleasing and it's so delicious too! They definitely care about the quality of food here and service is a big plus too! The owner talked to us and was so kind explaining all the foods and recommended great food. I personally love steamed egg and have come here a couple time now and it's always so FLUFFY! Our server Jennifer has always been so great as well! Always checked in on us, refilled our side dishes (sometimes before we even get a chance to ask her haha), and always have been very attentive and kind! Overall great food and great safe here!

Food was amazing. It was very crowded and service was pretty slow.

This place has a long way to go as it relates to service. Understand the restaurant is new, but employees need to be properly trained before they are unleashed onto customers. Our server did almost everything wrong and seemed to have no clue. She cooked our pork belly and told us it was ready to eat in 1-2 minutes..the pork belly was still oozing meat juice and fairly white. Someone who didn't know would have absolutely been sick. For dae chang, she first gave out the duk (why not leave it in?) and then stirred for a few minutes and told us it was ready. Again, food was not ready. We asked for more sam jjang and other items and she took our same dish back to refill - Covid or not, this is incredibly unsanitary. The meats were just mediocre, especially for the price paid. Also, regardless how many meat orders you select, there is no gae rang jjim and/or daeng jang jigae that comes with. Come for the gop chang - the flavoring is really quite good and unlike anywhere else, but expect to be disappointed with service.

My favorite place to get gogi in nova. My fiancé gets to eat her gopchang and daechang and I get to eat my pork belly and kalbi. Don’t be intimidated by their name. They’re beef and pork quality is amazing as well and I like that they don’t cook everything as fast as possible and throw it on a plate like some of the other gogi places in nova. Highly recommend gopchang for their intestines, beef, and pork.
