The first time I came here, I didn't really like the food I ordered. But one late evening, I wanted to go out and dine in somewhere that's still open so, I decided to come back here and I am super happy I did because I've had the best galbitang here in all of NoVa! I noticed that they are a bit inconsistent with the portions/ingredients but overall, I would still highly recommend this place. It's worth trying!

My brother in law who is Caucasian had to wait 40 minutes for these people to take his order. Same thing was happening to another black customer few tables away.Food is pretty disgusting since they never wash the giant pot that boils the soup 24x7. You can actually see the brown greasy slime that floats to the top because it’s so dirtyWe will not be returning to this place again.

Depending on what time you come in, service may vary. Most importantly, if you are not Korean your service heavily depends on that and they do not try to hide it at all. I went in at 2AM couple of nights ago - service was prompt, polite, and delicious food!Came in today at 11AM and waited an entire hour for our food. 3 other parties came in after my group of 2, and we were already waiting a while - which I didn't mind since it would be a bumpin time after church. I did start minding when the others who came in after we did were served their food before us. 3 other parties of 2, 4 and a single were served their soups and apps before we got our order of 2 soups. When I brought this up with our server, she only said it was coming out soon. No acknowledgement of the wait, but she did offer to refill our banchan. How do I know it was an hour? We watched the TV the entire time. It went from a funny singing talent show to a kdrama and we were halfway through the episode when the food did finally arrive. 2 of the 3 parties already finished up their meal and left. To add insult to injury, I was given less soup than my friend. What a fabulous time to be so greatly disrespected.

Normally i love their sullungtang. But today the soup taste old and overcooked from leftovers. Soup was really thick and had bad meat smell. Call to complain and the employee just wouldnt say sorry and that is due to ingredients added. Don’t think i will be coming back to this store.

It wasn't all that busy, but the waitress dropped some menus, asked us what we wanted to drink, then spun on her heels without giving us a chance to respond. Then we waited twenty minutes and they never came back to check on our table.Take the warnings in this review and others seriously. There's what, five other Korean restaurants in this shopping center?

Pleasantly surprised that we stumbled upon this gem. After leaving a late night party we were looking for a place to eat other than iHOP near our home so Yechon in Annandale was out of the question. It was too far even though we love that place and have made amazing memories there.Upon arriving, we noticed that this place was poppin'. There were so many people at 1AM just having fun and eating good looking food. The "traditional" hot barley tea in a glass that they gave right when you're seated warmed me right up!Since we didnt speak or know Korean, the food pictures on the wall helped a lot. They offered more of the adventurous slices of the cow or pig that I am 100% down for. I am not sure what soups we ordered but they were really good. THe soup I got (some sort of beef stock with knuckles) did lack salt but I later learned that you're supposed to add the salt to your liking. All the condiments were on the table to fix this. The side dishes were roughly cut and BIG that were not bite size pieces which was fine and SUPER flavorful. We LOVED the kimchi so much! the bean paste taste was a lot stronger in flavor that we really enjoyed!Definitely will go back here. We want to try more of the dishes!

I would give 0 star if there's an option. Be aware non-korean! They serve a quality of food based on your race! When I visited first time with other korean, the food was gorgeous. It was so good so I decided to visit with my family (non-korean).They served garbage food to us. The garlbijjm was someone's left over food. And the meats in the soup were rubber band. I addressed to the server and she offered me the different soup. But it was worse. They served food based who you are. Never gonna try again.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACEIt’s really rare for me to write a review so this shows how bad this place was!No one greeted us, we just got ourselves a table (it was not busy at all) we sat down, no water or menu. Then my dad had to use the bathroom, I asked the waitress who was walking by where the bathroom was, she just glanced, I asked again thinking she did not hear me, she was on her air pod ignored me and walked away. Then the other waitress i think she’s the owner did not say hi and was very rude.Food was okay but will not return simply because of poor service.

The food was ok but the service was TERRIBLE. My friends and I left cash tip at the table and then I tipped a little more at the cashier. She asked me if this was all and I misheard her because I thought that she couldn’t read the number I wrote and I told her yes. She got mad and said “…was the food not good?” And I realized that she was mad about the tip so I told her that we left more money at the table. She just kept looking at me silently so I think she didn’t hear me so I went back to the table to bring her the cash tip and she said “oh…”. I get that maybe she didn’t understand my broken korean but I was taken aback by how confrontational and cold her tone was. Would not come here again.

Very Disappointing:( the person who cooks needs to understand Korean flavor. It was terrible. I believe there are some good dishes but not what I ordered. I think the name was gabi kookbob. Also, see the picture of the pot they used. They need to throw it out
