It’s like going to your Korean grandma’s home for her delicious, authentic meals! This is my favorite Korean restaurant in the area. I’ve grown up with amazing, authentic Korean food from my mom in Queens and Korea, but this gem will satisfy any Korean craving I have and impress any of my friends. The people who work there are so kind, there is never a wait, and the portions are bigger than you would expect with reasonable prices. For my fellow Koreans, this is one of the few places that has 청국장 and their 열무냉면 is a MUST in the summer.I selfishly worry about writing this review because as soon as people find out about it it’ll probably become overcrowded with long wait lines and maybe even more expensive prices, but they deserve it and the world deserves to know where the good food and kind people are at so here is my review.

Very nice service and good food. My boyfriend wanted to try cold noodles with raw skate fish (without even knowing what type of fish that was). The gentleman working there made sure that he knew what to expect, and told him in case he didn’t like it, just put it aside and they would charge us for a regular cold noodle. The fish turned out to be good, no fishy taste at all! You can also find it at the touching zone in the Baltimore National Aquarium lol.

Five stars for both the food and service at BonGa. If you're interested in traditional Korean food, not barbeque or fried chicken, we highly recommend BonGa in Centreville. Both of our visits were after church let out on Sunday so there was a steady stream of customers, but the service was friendly and attentive. The food! We ordered the spicy stir fried pork both times and it was delicious. We also enjoyed the spicy beef noodle soup, don katsu, dumplings, and the seafood-scallion pancake. We will certainly return to try more of this traditional Korean menu!

Why haven't they been nominated or reviewed by the Washington post yet? It's a local homey restaurant that puts all those high end tier Korean places to shame. It's traditional food. I haven't found a place that makes 청국장 찌개, but am I glad I stumbled upon here. You'll find this place travels word by mouth. It's a small little family ran restaurant that packs a big kick, in terms of taste.Everything here tastes PERFECT. Nothing is watered down, nothing is too salty or oily, it is perfect. The spicy kalguksoo is the best in the entire NOVA/DC area. Hands down. Come try it for yourself. The portions are large but it is FLAVORFUL.Haemul pajeon actually has SEAFOOD in it, unlike other Korean restaurants where they put just green onion and batter.

Very friendly staff, and some of the quickest service from a Korean restaurant we've had. The food was fantastic and flavorful, and though I've never been to Korea, from what others said it seemed to be authentic. If you like it spicy, let the server know. Will definitely be back when we're in the area.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! Hole in the wall, truly authentic/best Korean food I’ve had. Not to mention their service is great and makes you feel very welcome. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Will be back, this is one of my new go to places! Love it!

Amazing authentic Korean food and super friendly service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!! This is the place to go if you are into Korean traditional soup and noodles. All my family loved this place. Thank you again!!!

The food is more authentic than anything else I’ve tried in the area. Friendly staff. Good menu.

A lot of Korean restaurants in the area, but for quality of food, BonGa is one of the best, in my opinion.
