I almost never do reviews usually isn't worth the time even if it's good.... But people should know about this place.... Awesome food, everything was NOT floating in some nasty cheese sauce. You can tell it's all home made and fresh. It's NOTHING like that chain restaurant mess. It's a little over an hour from my house, but I think I'll be a regular!
Checked out the reviews while pumping fuel across the street & decided to give it a try. Staff was welcoming & restaurant appeared clean. I had to get lunch to go so I can't say much about service. The tortilla chips were tasty, but didn't seem freshly made - more like leftover from the day before. The salsa was absolutely delicious! It had great flavor & a little heat as well. Rice & beans were well prepared & tasted good. The small slab of cheese & jalapeno pepper accompanying them were a great surprise & a much appreciated addition. I was torn between the chilaquiles & the carnitas. I asked for a recommendation & was told to try the chilaquiles which I did. I have only had them twice before, but I don't remember the tomato being such a dominant flavor. I did enjoy the dish - it was plentiful with chicken & the tortillas had absorbed a good bit of flavor. It doesn't beat my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, but I would definitely go back to try other dishes!
The food was decent but extremely greasy. Including my shrimp. I've never had greasy shrimp before but there is a first time for everything. My husband had the enchiladas and rice and he liked it and said he would rate it a 3 or 4 out of 5. The fries were really good, but like I said, greasy. They were super busy when we went in to order take out but the employees were very nice. Not my favorite place and wouldn't be one of my go-to's but each their own.
Went through drive through…love this place! Got the lunch #3 enchiladas and it was wonderful. Best salsa in town!!!
I have eaten here on quite a few occasions and the review is IT DEPENDS ON WHAT TIME OF DAY YOU Order! By saying that I mean I had ordered takeout for 5 including (hot dog kids meal I was appreciative) the first time and my very picky children loved them! I ordered around 2-3 pm, presumably the owner was there, we got amazing hotdogs with chili that was the best they had ever had. Tonight however sadly ordering at 7pm that wasn't the case, I was charged and got double of one meal even though I only ordered one was only called back one but paid and received two, at 20 as well as those same hotdogs (minus the chilli, I was told they didn't have it) the first order was a week ago. I received rice when I asked for beans, ? not happy about spending 50 bucks and only one if my dishes were what I actually ordered, Even though the waiteress recalled my order somehow between recall and actually getting there it got all mixed up. I'm extremely unhappy. If I wasn't so physically exhausted and had more time I would have taken it back and demanded what I had actually ordered as well as getting my ten dollars back for the superior that I got double of and only ordered one ?? I thought 50$ was too much $ that is why I asked hubby to bring an itemized menu home this time and a receipt.? The taste tho is 5 out of 5 I am
This is a very authentic Mexican Restaurant and is the best in the area! The service is phenomenal, the food is out of this world and the portions are enough for 2 meals, unless you come in very hungry! Definitely a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ place to eat, any time of the day! Best Mexican Restaurant in Bristol TN, by far! Keep up the good work!
This place hits all of the points! I lived in Pico Rivera, CA for a few years, so my bar is set pretty high when it comes to authentic Mexican cuisine. This place surpassed my expectations. They take pride in everything they do. From the recipes, the presentation & the service, they are hands down the best restaurant in Bristol. And I cannot write this review without mentioning my absolute favorite server, Alexi. This sweet angel of a human remembered my food allergy from my first visit (I’m there at least twice a week). Alexi is incredibly efficient, kind, caring & always has a welcoming smile. I highly recommend this place!
Great local Mexican Restaurant with awesome service. There is a sauce bar and lots of daily specials. The service was outstanding!. I has the lunch fajitas and you would have thought it was dinner! What a delight...
What a GREAT place. We are thankful the restaurants on State Street closed early tonight ...otherwise, we would have missed this gem. Being from Texas, it is rare to find really good Mexican food this far north. I had the shredded beef chimichanga and my husband had beef street tacos. Both entrees were large portions, prepared fresh and delicious. The chips were crisp and salsa selections varied. My husband LOVED the habanero sauce. I enjoyed the spicy avocado sauce and pickled onions. The full bar is also a plus for those wanting an adult beverage with your meal. The location was clean, staff attentive and polite. Will readily return anytime in the area.
Love this place! Employees are always super nice and smiling. The food is great! Very authentic. If you don’t have time for a sit down meal at one of the local Mexican restaurants, this will for sure satisfy your craving. I can’t believe it’s actually a drive thru with food this good. The wait is just a few minutes longer than your average McDonald’s trip but it’s totally worth it for food of this quality. Their large fountain drinks are huge and taste better than the other drive thru places. Keep up the great job and thank you for what you are doing TACO RIENDO! I highly recommend
