I wanted to love it, I've heard good things about this restaurant. My husband and I tried it for the first time Saturday. My food was greasy and soggy. The hush puppies were very dry and unedible. We might try dining in next time to see if the food is any better.
My wife and I stop in on trips to and from New York from Georgia, visiting our daughter. We make it a point to stop by for lunch either goin or coming. The food is fresh and fast. You get quantity and quality with any meal. The staff is outstanding and makes you feel like family. The catfish and popcorn shrimp are our favorites. Looking forward to next year already !!!
My first time visiting with my sister and my son. We're from Elizabethton and just in town shopping for the day. Looking for somewhere besides fast food to grab lunch. Not being familiar with the locale, we thought we would have to pass it by because it seemed that all of the parking spaces were taken. So, I placed a call to ask how long of a wait they might have. The gentleman who answered the phone, actually came outside and directed us to a spot to park. Rain and all. I've never had an employee do such a thing. We came in, were quickly seated and our drinks were on the way. It smelled soooo good in there! We asked if their tea was real, "southern" sweet tea? Our waitress replied yes, and boy was she right. Our order of fried green tomatoes was absolutely perfect! I don't think they could have been any better at all. We ended up having to get a second order and decided that we could have all made a whole meal out of them. See, and for anybody who's not a southerner, this is one good way to tell if the food is authentically Southern. The tea's got to be as sweet as a Georgia peach and the fried green tomatoes good enough to fill up on! ? Our meals were great, sooo fresh, affordable and our waitress was wonderful too! Such a great experience that we will definitely be back. Heck, we would come back just for the fried green tomatoes alone! Thank you, Greene's Seafood, for a delicious lunch. Just an awesome place for good quality seafood dishes.Perfect breading with a cornmeal base on the Catfish. Trying the Blackened Tuna Sandwich today !!
Absolutely fabulous seafood and service! We have eaten here a few times and every time everything is awesome.
I had heard about this place so finally, I took my wife & mother-in-law to eat dinner. I got the white fish platter which included two big fillets of fish, coleslaw, great home-cut french fries, and ringed hushpuppies that was delicious. My meal was great. My wife got the jumbo shrimp and I tasted one and it was very good. She loved her meal also. My mother-in-law got the broiled snapper and it didn't look that great(looked dried & overcooked) she said it was average and would not recommend it. The waitresses were great and had fun with the guests. I will go back, highly recommend it! It is limited seating and not much room for large groups to sit together!
A very small restaurant with limited hours but great seafood at reasonable prices. My wife had the popcorn shrimp and I had the chicken tenders. Both were off the lunch menu and came with a baked potato, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. At $8.99 each, a great deal considering the amount of food and taste. Our waitress, Taylor, was very attentive and despite her age and two weeks of experience, as good a waitress as I have had. A mixture of locals and out of town diners demonstrates the appeal of this place and I am confident all leave full and satisfied.
Jeff and his people truly know how to cook blue crabs they are always seasoned and such an enjoyable feast.. Thank You for a taste of the Bay here in the Mountains!! Also can get any seafood when in season that is fresh and ready to prepare...never disappointed...their restaurant is awesome also for a meal that is prepared and served with all the great seasoning and taste that leaves you happy and a return customer...
Was very pleased after shopping here. They have the absolute best snow crab legs around! The workers were very friendly and even told me the best way to prepare the crab legs. This place also takes EBT food stamps for all raw and frozen products.
Just celebrated my birthday here. Everyone is so friendky. They brought us green fried tomatoes and catfish bites just add a surprise! The food wss excellent. We had scallops, shrimp, oysters, catfish. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. Thank you Greene's!!❤❤
